    Chem-engineering question

Umm from what I've learnt, concentration cells are a type of galvanic cell due to the generation of electricity from the reaction alone. In the case of a concentration cell, there is a differing level of electrolyte concentrations in two regions. The cathodic region occurs where the concentration...

Do you think it's better to write the risk assessment before or after the method?

Yeah, I agree with the before the method approach since you have to know what you are working with and what potential dangers you may face while using the chemicals. Usually I'm told that the risk assessment is placed after the aim though.

    Question on Locus and Parabola

    Convert quadratic equation to general form: y = x^2 + 6x + 5 y - 5 = x^2 + 6x y - 5 + 9 = x^2 + 6x + 9 y + 4 = (x+3)^2 (i.e. the general form of a parabola 4a(y - k) = (x - h)^2 Vertex: From the general form the parabola, the vertex is given as (h, k). Hence the vertex is (-3, -4)...

    parametrics

    The general form of a parabola with vertex (0,0) is x2 = 4ay. Therefore: 4a = 1 a = 0.25 For the parametric equations, sub a = 0.25: x = 2at x = 0.5t - (A) y = at^2 y = 0.25t^2 - (B) Sub t(1) in (A) and (B). This will form an x-ordinate and y-ordinate (i.e. a set of co-ordinates) Sub...
