i used the distance formula with the A(2,0) the B(6,y) and the veriable point P(x,y) so PA^2=PB^2 (x-2)^2 + (y-0)^2=(x-6)^2 + (y-y)^2 x^2 -4x+4+Y^2=x^2-12x+36 y^2=8x+30

yea since it goes through the P(-1,7) u can just sub that into to the genral equation of x^2=4ay where u get a to be 1/28 just sub that in and u get x^2=1/7y
