Ha, at our store it's the other way around. Managers are salaried for 40 hours and usually do about 38, only a few do 45. Store room manager does 32! But then again we are a small store. Man I feel sorry for our Price Integrity manager on October 1st. Our GST rate goes up from 12.5% to 15%...

It was my last shift at my store today! Wasn't expecting anything and about 15 minutes before my shift ended I was called into the team room and there was food for africa and a gift. Man was the LLM angry I didn't finish the direct deliveries!

I think Australia is a bit more strict on the prerequisites, more people etc. Yes indeedy. People often mistake me for being older than I am.

No, 2007 is when I dropped out of school. I left 'illegally' at 15, with no qualifications. So in other words, I didn't complete high school.

It is a salaried position, very good pay. Put it this way, I'm earning just 1k less a year than my Dad who is 45 (I'm 18). I don't know the exact hours yet, but from what I've been told it's like 7am - 4.30pm, but like the manager said to me, just because it says you finish at 4.30, doesn't mean...

Thanks! It does kinda, but they have said if I don't find anywhere they can arrange some temporary accommodation for me, which is there as a back up in case I need it.

Thanks. I'll be Admin Assistant for Produce. Basically receiving store orders, adjusting forecasts, liaising with growers etc. In two weeks I need to find a place to live, it's 6 hours away and I've got no family up there. *breath*

I don't know why it is so hard for customers to understand the concept of express. In our store there are 3 signs (big signs, not small ones) stating that express is 9 ITEMS OR LESS, and it annoys me when people then ask "Oh is this only express?" But they don't ask the question until they start...

Great...Now you need to put signs up in your store saying "Attention all potential thief's...our draws are crammed full of dosh for you to take at your leisure!"

Our CSM has told us we aren't allowed to leave any 50s in the draws after a pick up (which is pretty stupid) and a minimum of 10 20s, depending on the time.

Just out of interest...What time does your SM and SSM start? Our SM is a lazy bum and doesn't start til 9...Although he doesn't leave til 6pm so fair enough.. Our SSM is our opening duty, so she's always there by 7 and finishes at 4

I had no knowledge when I first started in Produce... Still had very little knowledge when I got 2IC....So it doesn't really matter lol.

We're going to version 10.0 June 17th...Read the release notes today - it's going to be great. I especially like the reports from the gun - just another way for Woolworths to save money!

Oh lol, we had our Queens Birthday Holiday last monday? I prefer to take public holiday's off...yeah it's time and a half (only 1.5x here!) but if they are offering me a day off fully paid without affecting my leave then fuck yeah I'm going to take it!

What's so special about Monday over there? I would Google it but can't really be bothered....

There's plenty of people in my store who work in multiple departments. When I first started I had permanent shifts on Checkouts, Produce and Grocery.
