well you're not supposed to leave the s/s area so you can't go to a register to get it out, you just have to wave down the supervisor to do it for you... FUCK that is so annoying (from a supervisor point of view).... so over the s/s attendant asking for price checks and shit...

well you'd think working at Woolies for sometime you'd know that specials are cyclic and if it's not on special this week it will probably be on special next week (for something like Coke anyway... it's pretty much ALWAYS on special, just a different pack size each week).

How do you get annual leave for a weekend? I WISH I could do this but they insist I have to take a whole week off Mon - Sun, so then I get stuffed around if I want to go somewhere for the weekend Fri - Mon... grrr

Are you casual? The company is allowed to cancel a casual's shift up until a couple of hours before it so by the reasoning I would argue a casual can cancel their shift in the same time frame.. they can't really do anything - except hate you and give you no shifts next week, lol.

See if you can swap your shift with someone that is working earlier that day... you never know, someone might be generous :P

On a normal night I would start cashing up tills at 6... so that there are only tills left in for the number of operators I have at the time + 1 for me (usually about 4-5 by 7pm). And then I just count them as they leave (7.30/8/8.30). So I should end up with about 4 tills by 8, 2 tills by 8.30...

that is exactly what my store used to look like, right down to the black and white checkerboard tiles.... and now it looks like the new store in your pics, lol. :P

they are within the timeframes stipulated in the eba. its just the little shits that go "oh it's too early.. i want it later" and then it gets busy and they ask right when there's 5 customers lined up if they can go.. i'm like too fucking bad, should have gone earlier.
