You could improve your English comprehension skills by doing past test papers. An example of a reading test is the UNSW one. It tests you on a range of different text types and the questions on it are good. What do you mean by 'write too complex'?

Pre-Uni I think runs one in Year 10... (But it is terrible from my experience).
