    B Science

Hi... you really should be looking at your desired university's website for information on course requirements... usually they look at how many units of engineering-relevant study you did during the b. sci. Hope I help. And check out the uni website.

    Best physics textbook?

Excel is god as an outline but in terms of a classroom textbook - where the real learning + breadth is - the Jacaranda textbook has lots of great analogy and extras that make it the best hsc physics textbook. Of course, this is my opinion... :read:

BSc at UniMelb or BSc (Adv) at USyd?

I don't believe there's an "B. Sc. (Adv)" as it is named at the University of Melbourne, however you can do advanced courses that should give you the same stuff as a "B. Sc. (Adv)" course. i.e. There's only "B. Sc." as it's named offered at Melbourne U. e.g. Physics 1: Advanced in this list...

    Melbourne Uni - Academic machine?

Really? Hmm. I guess it's all about what you make of your own experiences ... if you don't make use of your course then I guess any university becomes a "cold, degree-making machine". Try looking up graduate reviews - this guy seems happy with his time at unimelb, although I haven't done any...

How many people around here have chem as their last exam?

ONE MORE EXAM! At last, 13 years of schooling ends in what shall be the most boring exam I have ever done! I've spent lots of time studying alcohols and how to make them (ethene + dilute H2SO4!), dehydrate them (conc. H2SO4!) . . . and now it's time to drink up and forget it all! :D

    Laptop suggestions

F2001, have you seen this one? HP Mini 1000 here and here -- IMO, the black one's perfect, the pink one's just wrong. If you're looking for something affordable and enough to get by everyday writing/assignments/boredofstudies/etc -- this one seems like a good choice, there's a media center...

umm help me please i think i have done a bad mistke in the test

The test asked for 2 questions -- the marker will not waste time marking all of them think about the amount of exams they all have to mark! So it's going to have to be the first two questions. I'm sorry, but I can't believe this -- doesn't your teacher make you go through the exam structure...

    Easy Question 10 or Easiest?

And as I walked out of the exam room, it occurred to me that for question 10 a), I should have integrated with respect to y. The balcony was right across the exit of the exam room, 3 storeys high. The End. : (

Hey I did like 68% for the exam around that and my assessment mark was like 80% in the end - but it adds to the thrill! Genetics? Hmm. I think my option is much easier though (communication). Good luck with that! :karate:
