Carrotsticks' Solutions 2015 Extension 1 HSC

Assuming you get top end band 6s in everything else (96+), you can get an E3 in Ext 1 and still get 99+. 99.95 is a different story though

Physics 2 mc questions need help

Just use that formula subbing in t=4, Uy=17.1 and you'll get -10. t=4 because he is in the in the air for 4 seconds, insinuating at 4 seconds he will hit the water. Subbing in t=4 will give you the y displacement from the cliff (ie where he was standing)

    E4 Raw Mark

never changes much, but imo this year was easier. Give or take 1 or 2 marks 55/70

Why and when will marks be deducted for messy hand writing

technically markers are obliged to give you the benefit of the doubt and try their best to read your writing, BUT there's a chance they'll see your writing as they are marking late and night and be like: fuck it i'm too tired for dis.

    HSC Physics Marathon 2013-2015 Archive

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive I'll probably be doing a similar approach: 1) MC first 2) Option (leaving out the high marker) 3) Short answers (leaving out the high markers) 4) Go back and spend as much time as possible on the 6/7/8 markers making sure to cover everything

    General Thoughts: Mathematics Extension 1

nah, they're referring to the candidature. 4u kids are often more mathematically capable and will do better

    General Thoughts: Mathematics Extension 1

you'll be right, go study for physics now lol

    General Thoughts: Mathematics Extension 1

doesn't look too difficult besides maybe the very last question, cut off will probably be the similar to last year around 80 give or take 1 or 2 (as a percentage)

    HSC Physics Marathon 2013-2015 Archive

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive The current definition of a standard metre uses the constancy of the speed of light in a vacuum alongside the definition of 1 second to create a distant measurement system that is consistent with the idea of space-time. As such, 1 metre is equivalent to how far...

Even if your thumb faces upwards, isn't it asking for the direction of the magnetic field which is always north --> south?

    HSC Physics MC Thread

    da fuk I still don't get why it's B

    HSC Physics MC Thread

For the RHGR, thumb points to the north pole, not in the direction of the mag field I believe
  19. A

    HSC Physics MC Thread

this question put me on tilt wtf, correct me if i'm wrong if you make a south pole at the bottom of the solenoid, wouldn't the mag field go down? (because goes from north to south)
