how to get out of a slump/bad routine

Try progressive overloading. start with a relatively small amount of study, let's say half an hour (could be entirely different for you) and slowly increase your daily study time by 5-10 minutes each day. After doing this for a while you should be fairly comfortable doing around 1-2 hours of...

Roots and coefficients of polynomials question

so i thought this was pretty easy and got an answer of -28 for k \alpha+\beta = \frac{3}{1} -4+\beta = 3 \beta=7 so if beta is seven then using the sum of roots and solving we should get -28, but the book says -26 for some reason. can anybody explain please ?

    Question

so my teacher gave us some practice problems for relative velocity on a plane but I think his direction for displacement is wrong in the solution. shouldn't it be south-west because vector arrows are head to tail ?

How to get better at responsive writing and English ?

Do you know if there are other places where I could get writing suggestions ? Teachers at my school are fairly lazy and I probably wouldn't be able to afford a tutor unfortunately.

How to get better at responsive writing and English ?

Thanks for taking the time to reply this has definitely made it a lot clearer for me. As for teacher marking, I go to a pretty lowly ranked public school (like no B6's in years) and I feel that the teacher would find it very tedious to mark my practice essays and probably dislike me for giving...

How to get better at responsive writing and English ?

I'm wondering if there are any specific study that one can do to help improve their responsive writing/analysis. I fee l that my creative writing is in a good place right now but when I right responsively my structure just seems kind of all over the place and messy. I usually use PEEL (all we...

    How To Catch Up?

I believe I might be qualified to answer this as I missed half of my year 10 schooling and am now actually ahead of my cohort. For context I went back halfway through 2021 into 5.3 not knowing how to graph a linear equation. What I did was just grind Khan Academy 1-2 hours pretty much every...

    Properties of polynomials

Yeah I get it now, I hope i do well i guess i'll just have to study harder.

    Properties of polynomials

Really struggling to solve this problem as the textbook only has a example solution which doesn't really explain anything. I understand the concept that like powers share the same coefficients but don't know how to go about applying it. I could only really get a=1, b=2 (Equal sign should be...

Need help with a math question

I'll try that now I previously tried using remainder theorem to get two simultaneous equations but the solutions I got didn't match the ones in the textbook.

Need help with a math question

Not sure if this is the right place but I need some help with a question in my Ext 1 Math Homework. Our teacher gave us a whole exercise of homework but unfortunately didn't explain half of it. Question: The remainder is 89 when is divided by x-3, and the remainder is -3 when P(x) is divided...

    Best scaling subjects?

Depends how important money is to you and whether your family will help with post school expenses. But a 12-15 hour week wouldn't hurt your study too much although it may cause you stress which could have an indirect effect. Also as a general rule of thumb I believe everybody should have at...

    Best scaling subjects?

Usually the best scaling subjects from what I know are Maths (Advanced-Ext 2) and Physics/Chem. You might want to consider doing Bio if you are interested in studying Medicine.

    Best scaling subjects?

Not if he doesn't actually enjoy those subjects and is just doing them for scaling. It's much harder to study something your not actually interested in and don't have fun learning. That's like doing 4U maths because it scales well but you can't stand maths, obviously your marks are going to be...

You need a LLB to be a lawyer which you have to go to uni for. Although, there are alternative pathways to Uni other than an atar.

    Study Timetable and Organisation Help

Yeah it helps me clear up brain fog after intensive studying so i can kind of retain more information, so many benefits to it IMO. Even Eddie Woo said that going for a run/walk before an exam can help you heaps in Math Exams because it warms your brain up and you don't make silly sign errors or...
