This is an odd question. I am trying to find the PLT rules on the internet so I can check myself, does anyone know if you can do the practical experience component in London? Having completed a law degree and the subjects required for the PLT, would this be possible? Thanks,

I don't think it is very common at all, particularly in the early stages of one's career..Unfortunately. I am planning on working in the USA. It is a bit more difficult than working in the UK, or even HK. But not impossible...

Is anyone planning on working overseas after graduation? Or within 1-2 years after graduating? If so where and how long after you graduate? Just wondering if anyone else is planning this like I am.

The JD at UNSW is one semester longer than the UTS JD. This is because the PLT at UTS is built into the degree, which means you don't have to enrol in the College of Law. For me this was a significant selling point, I am in my 7th year at uni and the thought of spending an extra semester at uni...

Thanks for the reply. I am hoping to leave a graduate program after 1 year to move overseas, so I am just trying to work out the technicalities of doing so.

At UTS they do not organise the practical component for you. Unless they have been keeping it a very well kept secret?

Is it possible to gain employment in a law firm, and obtain PLT while I work? Earn money and do PLT at the same time? My PLT is built in to the degree. I have one PLT subject left over in the last semester, so it would be very advantageous to gain a job and complete the PLT requirements...

I found U Pass really helpful for economics and finance. They give a lot of 'hints' about what will be in the exam, and gives you a chance to get further clarification regarding complex concepts. Also they sometimes show you previous exam papers that not everyone else can obtain...If you are lucky.

Has anyone successfully completed an elective (or two) at another university at summer school? I am at UTS doing graduate law, and would like to complete three electives this summer. I plan on completing two at UTS, and one hopefully at USYD. Has anyone done such a thing? Thanks in advance.
