    is art a bludge

It's actually 5 majors, drama has two. And I did start in Year 11 actually, I had a whole lot of my Extension 2 done before the beginning of year 12, don't make half-arsed assumptions. Again, I reiterate, you don't actually DO any of these subjects at a senior level. You don't understand the...

    Art Exam?

I always always always do frames. Think about it- they're not going to include a subjective frame essay (because it would be all opinion) so you're guaranteed a structural/cultural/postmodern frame question every year. I'm hanging out for a postmodernism question- it's so friggin easy to talk...

    Male monologue

Devise it yourself? I know it's quite risky, but it works for people. Have you read a story/watched a movie recently that evokes the anger you're looking for? Why not devise a monologue off that?

Drama Essay Content - Classroom Experiences?

Yep, you need experiential evidence whether it be classroom experience (the easiest to write about and support your point because it's dynamic), or watching a performance of the play, or quoting the playwright. In the marking guidelines it says you need 'supporting evidence' so that includes...

please help- regarding UNSW Bmus and music 1 aural exam

No, if you wanted to be a qualified music teacher (as in, working at schools rather than freelance/independent tutor) you would need a Bachelor of Education, then major in music. I'm not sure if Macquarie offers this or not, why not check out their website/google them?

    is art a bludge

Seeing as you don't DO any of these subjects, I would encourage you to kindly shut the fuck up. For what those subjects lack in study hours, they make up for in major work/PIP preparation. Drama and Art literally sucked the hours out of my day. The holidays before trials were spent 95% at...

Hey, just wondering what everyones artist:artwork ratio is for the essay. I'm hoping to do either 2 artists w/ 2 artworks each or 3 artists- 2 with 2 artworks each and 1 with 1 artwork. A friend of mine is doing 4 artists with 1 each.. I dunno what to do!!

    VIVA to the VOCE

Oh, that's right. I remember reading something like that. Have you been given an assessment schedule? And yes, I think the major is marked both externally and internally... From BOS website: 'For the English Extension 2 HSC examination in 2010 and beyond, the Major Work and the Reflection...

    is art a bludge

Disagree. Anything and everything is art now. My major work required little to no artistic ability. I can't paint/draw/sculpt/photograph, anything. My MW was entirely logical...and I have high hopes for it.

    is art a bludge

ha, I'm a dux of a private school and I probably won't even crack 90. Moving on, I wouldn't say art is a bludge. It actually requires EFFORT to do well (despite what others may say) because you need to present a cohesive and meaningful body of work (which is both conceptually and aesthetically...

    HSC VA section one ideas?

Hmm, art. Kinda tossing up whether to actually study for this or not. How do you guys study for it? I kinda just...read over stuff. I've been so lax in terms of studying for art all year. I somehow managed 98% in trials (my teacher...well, let's not start..) with no study. Also, a friend of...

    VIVA to the VOCE

Wtf, serious? ...I don't really see how you can do your Viva without your Proposal. I thought the Viva was 'selling' your major work orally, and if you haven't written the Proposal (and worked out, fine-tuned all of your ideas) and stated what you actually want to do, yet, how can you do a...

Please Enlighten Me - Ext 2 English, things we need to know

Err, the only benefit I see in doing a short story is exactly what you said- it is the easier option. I actually think that doing a different medium other than short story will probably help you in the long run, as you'll stand out more. The competition for short stories is very elite, you only...

Why are atheists on this website always attacking Christianity?

Question: Why is it, then, that whenever you ask a priest a question, they always answer back with a question. Example- (this is paraphrased from a real conversation) 'So if God is all powerful and whatnot, why does he allow rape and murder?' 'How can you say rape and murder are the doings...

eng ext 2 students of 2010!

i fought for the right to do this tooth and nail last year, and my school wouldn't let me because i would (and this is a direct quote) 'fail spectacularly'. what did I get for accumulative average assessment mark? 49/50 suck on that school.

    HSC IP drama monologues

But don't end up doing a monologue from it. Every female should stay away from Top Girls- waaaaay too many girls do it. Top Girls and Bombshells should be sold with like a caution flyer 'DO NOT DO FOR YOUR HSC IP' PS- lol 2005 thread
