    Study Patterns

Oh, don't get me wrong, I like the morning (i.e. 11am) but I am not a morning-morning person. I could never get up at 6am or some crap like that. O.O I'd die, not to mention I'd cry. I usually: get home, relax for an hour, do an hour of school-work, take a quick break, do another hour, do...

    Study Patterns

Just a general discussion thread about your study patterns. Below, list your study patterns - I am curious as to how often you guys actually study! I also wanted to know if you guys study after 9pm, because I find it increasingly harder to concentrate after 9. Thanks. :)

Accidentally didn't go to class for a period

#YOLO #SWEG #2kewl4skewl #MCDONALDS4LYFE #WHONEEDSSKEWLWENUHAVEGOOGLE. In all seriousness, no, it doesn't matter. In fact, that break may have been just what you needed. It could potentially boost your productivity level, due to you feeling guilty/feeling more motivated to work harder and catch...

Past Papers and Where To Get Them?

    Thank you very much!

Past Papers and Where To Get Them?

Hey, I just wanted to what the go with past papers is. Currently, I have downloaded the syllabuses and past papers for a majority of my subjects. However, considering a majority of the syllabuses changed in 2010ish, I have only downloaded the 2011+ papers, equating to 2 papers (soon to be 3) for...

    Completely dropping Mathematics?

Not to mention, do people that just do 2U and not extension ever perform well in 2U? It just seems to me that the only people that ever find 2U maths relatively easy are those that do Mx1 and mx2. Further, they appear to be the only ones who perform well in it.

    Completely dropping Mathematics?

But I am doing so poorly, my class average is horrid, the workload is tremendously high (not to mention the rest of my subjects are really demanding), and if I leave it any later it will just exacerbate my situation.

    Completely dropping Mathematics?

It's more like 2-3 kids I don't think I'll be able to beat in advanced. And how much are one of those textbooks?

    Completely dropping Mathematics?

I got 31% in my Mathematics preliminary exam. I got ~80 in Bio without studying. Further, I hear so many horror stories about general mathematics scaling terribly, etc. etc. Wouldn't an 80-90 (hopefully in Bio) work out to be better than a 80-90+ in General? I honestly don't know if I can...

    Completely dropping Mathematics?

The thing is the General kids don't even have textbooks and the teacher never shows up. I also think the classes may be full. My motivations for dropping the subject are: it may be too late to actually build up my maths skills. If I try to study and build my skills up and still suck, I will be...

    Completely dropping Mathematics?

Hey, at the moment I am in a pretty crap situation. I have 11 units, and recently dropped Biology because it seemed like a good idea. However, I could stand Biology, although I wasn't the biggest fan, but I could stand it (and my marks were fairly good, even without studying). In Preliminary...

Extension English Help! + free puppies/money/food

For English Extension 1, our teacher wants us to have five related texts for Module A: Genre - Crime Writing (only two texts are needed, I believe, but as some texts may suit a certain question better, we were told to do more). That said, I don't really know what I want to read. I don't just...

    HSC Journal

Um, if there's 4344241221141 schools in NSW, mine would be VERY close to one of the worst. I live in the middle of nowhere. Sucks ATAR bonuses don't apply to anything I actually want to do.

    HSC Journal

Does everybody here go to academic schools or something? Am I the only person who attends school in the middle of nowhere? My average for Business was 95 this semester, which was greater than everybody else's by far. I think the closest was somewhere in the mid-high 80s. Regardless, my overall...

    HSC Journal

My average for Prelim Legal was 94. I got 89% in my Prelim test (still first), but it raped my average. Kinda annoyed about that, but I shall hopefully do better this year. >.> Only 1-2 other kids in my class that are candidates for a Band 6, then like 2 for Band 5, and then, like, band 1 for...

    HSC Journal

I do the exact same thing in Legal! My class is full of a 'variety' of people. However, there are a small few that pose competition. I figured it'd be best to use my in-class time wisely, so I have been writing out notes while the others watch some silly film. Am currently a little ahead of them.

Do you type or write your notes?

    HSC Journal

Ooh, we do a lot of similar subjects. Kind of inspiring. Just sucks we don't have textbooks for anything yet so I can't do anything. >.>

    What can I do now?

Thank you, titaniumwithin. I find revising for Mathematics hard. Especially so considering if you have no clue how to do something, you can't google it. >.>

    What can I do now?

What past papers do you actually do? Hasn't the syllabus changed significantly recently for a good chunk of subjects? I only have 2011/2012 papers. Would getting previous papers be helpful? And I've always wondered: after completing a past papers, do you do it again sometime later? Or do you...
