With all due respect, that was the easiest unseen I have seen to date. The essay was a joke. NESA will be handing out B6s like the Govt is handing out money this year.

To quote my teacher who wrote the 2016 and 2017papers "What was the exam committee thinking. They have turned paper 1 into a joke. This now may as well be called the STANDARD common paper. The raw mark cut off may be negative ie 85 turns into 80"

Easiest paper one since 2009. Raw mark cut off will probably equal scaled cut off this year.

They don't really care about the to what extent from what I understand. Just saying throughout (If you agree) is fine.

I am of the opinion that it was a great paper. One reasonably straight forward question in Mod A. One specific and more difficult question in Mod B (As expected.) Mod C was straight forward but you actually had to write a piece on your feet rather then re writing and compare in the reflection...

Imo the essay for 1984 was good as all themes could be adapted to it. Plus any rote learners would have struggled with it. Short answer on the other hand was just too hard. The texts were simply too complicated. I think they mixed questions 1 and 3. Text 1 was full of metaphors yet they asked...
