I got an ATAR of 99.5, and am 0.05 off the 99.55 cut off for law at unsw. I really do not wish to transfer into law, and would prefer to get straight in. To your knowledge do people that are 0.05 off the cutoff make it into law second round?? Is there a chance I will be accepted second round...

Actuarial is a lot more quantative than finance, and so it leads into a lot more technical fields. You become an actuary or an analyst etc. So you need strong logic and a love of maths. Finance leads more to Investment banking so it's far less mathematical.

LOL I wish those were my ranks for each subject. Nah, I'm only good at math, all my other subjects are bleh :S Aiming for 99.4+ but probably wont make it because of my crappy english =.= Hence the need for kickass math, physics and chemistry marks :P

LOL Aneesh IS a gun XD I don't think i topped my school, quite a few people in the A class were losing only 1 mark. Thomas Lacy got everything out. That was a pretty easy exam overall I think.
