How did you guys study Maths 3U/4U on a normal day(excluding studying for exams)?
And how do you be efficient when you study? People on BoS always stress the importance of efficiency (i.e. sometimes 1 hr worth of actual work is better than 4 hours worth of half-assed procrastination etc etc)...
Re: Study plans for Year 12 course
I did a few hours a day and burnt out for year 11 and ended up with a near last rank for most of my subjects in assessment 1 for year 11. True story :P
Re: Study plans for Year 12 course
You might burnout pretty early if you study 7 hours a day until the HSC :L
I reckon 3-4 hours a day should be enough, as long as you are consistent.
Wow that is insane. Was in the same situation as you a few months ago though. (6-8 hours of gaming during weekends and 1-2 hours each school day on my school laptop) Bludged through half of year 11. Seriously regret it now :(
I've been going well in some of my subjects but my Physics teacher doesn't teach jack sh!t and just goes off topic every class. Even if I somehow get 85% for Preliminiary, I'm only going to JUST scrap past 50%... does this mean I have to repeat?
Im on the exact same boat! I'm also in a top 40 school aiming for a 97+ atar :) My year 11 marks are also horrendous... What rank do we have to get in order to achieve a 97+ ATAR?
Does anyone know the threshold for the "elite performer" category in the UTS/UNSW/USYD bonus ATAR scheme? It's not really specified on the site.
Does performing in the Opera House count?
Our teacher stated that To Kill A Mockingbird is too similar to JJ and that we should do another text type.
The plot is pretty much, like Oskar said, an Australian contemporary parody of To Kill A Mockingbird.
As someone said before, marks themselves mean next to nothing. Your rank is what matters. Your school rank is also required in order for us to give you an estimate.
