    Physics Calculations

Most books are really quite useless for calculations (because HSC physics is predominantly zombie essay writing). Books like Jacaranda look great with all their calculation examples when you first open it, but as you read on you realise every single example is exactly the same but just with...

    Significant Figures?

ehhh why don't sig figs matter in physics?! >=0 Do you mean as in the marking scheme for the external exam? They mattered verily much for my school assessments though. But I really hate the inconsistency with which they preach sig figs. Basically, you can only keep the lowest no. of sig figs...

    relativity help!

Why did you bump 1 minute after posting LOL But anyway that's just how special relativity works. No one frame of reference is preferred over another. Look up the twin paradox in your textbook, it's some strange stuff

Using Extension 1 formulae for projectiles?

Haha carrotsticks most of those are in MX2 mechanics already though And didn't they used (does that make sense? looks wrong) ANYWAY didn't they used to have extension physics? but then it was too hard for all these bogans so they shot it down, and made normal physics just rotelearning with...

    Eng/Law

Lmao aiite hoping to see you round. Say hi to meee >=] Some guy won a UNSW Scholarship, and when they asked him why he wanted to combine engineering with law he came up with a super bs answer hahaha "My imagination and continuous thirst to discover had made me increasingly inclined to study...

    Eng/Law

Oh hello BHHS '11er =D I'm planning on UNSW eng too hehehe I've heard that all engineering courses at UNSW share the same first year, so basically I'm sure it should be easy to change. I'm not sure though, hope someone with real experience can help.

is there more hot korean chicks at Usyd or UNSW.

Blacktown also has heaps of Aboriginal people but no one ever sees them because they stay at home LOL And yeah haha I find some Korean guys are incredibly nice/reserved, but there's also some pretty aggressive types around

    Agriculture exam

Wow congratulations!! Did you get a state ranking? I did agriculture last year and got 93 ==; Didn't count because it scales like crap

    94.80. Scholarship ?

I think it's probably too late for most universities (they all like suddenly close at the end of September every year o_O)

    HSC Preliminary and HSC Question!!!!

I reckon you can do really well in the physics HSC (so much rote learning o_O) without a lot of the stuff you learn in prelim - most of the time they're really unrelated, and if they are, going Year 10 knowledge is often sufficient (e.g. Ohm's Law). I'd say that the only thing you have to...

    School Rankings 2011

Ruse is a lively and encouraging environment to grow up in, with plenty of support from principals and teachers and students to help you perform well as a group (not just individually), which is the main reason it does so well. So yeah it's an amazing school that works very well as a team, but...

Hard Projectile Motion Question Please Help

Just to check, I got 15.1 m/s at an angle of 43.6° to the horizontal =D Fizzy Cyst's method is right I think :D

Best option module to do ?

I did Quanta to Quarks (the most popular option) - it was easy but boring as hell though; as with most HSC topics it's all basically rote learning, obsessing with advantages and disadvantages and a bit of useless history thrown in to fill you chock full of useless facts, so it feels like you're...

    Knocking Rusians off the podium

Haha yeah why the hate man =P

    Space question

Woah dodgy question LOL. I think in this case it just means the instant at which the lift stops (having decelerated), the box is still slightly moving upwards, so the only force on it is gravity at that point.

Differences and similarities between the 3 HSC dot point books

To be honest I think all the dot point books are really really quite dreadful. The only thing I like about the MC Dot Point one is I like the concise summary of each dot point it gives.
