So you've tried customising to Monday and it didn't work? It's most likely that the class is full but don't give up sometimes people might randomly change their mind and change from Monday to another day so always come back and check if you can customise to Monday. Good luck! :)

You're not exactly screwed. What I suggest is apply for special permission first explaining your reason and if that doesn't work out, you can then email them about it.

Looks like he's doing that to stroke his own ego :/ Tell him that although you appreciate all that he is doing for you, you don't need his help. Say that you'll learn the stuff in the course anyway and if you need help, you can ask him anytime.
