    Formals!

Re: Formal? Ooh, last year my grade had our formal at NIDA. At $100pp, including the $10 security deposit. We fundraised by selling chocolate but I think we haven't finished selling, therefore no one is getting there $10 back lol Included venue, food, live band, DJ, photograper [actually we...

Writing Better Essays - A guide by l-Mercedes-l

Cool, this sounds handy. Thank you!

Single.. Who has never had a Girlfriend/boyfriend?

Yup, single and thriving. I don’t want to just go into any random relationship and break up a week later like most of the lame high school relationships I see! Waiting for the right person and right time :)

Girls Don't know what they want.

Thank you. Yes. Definitely deficient in confidence here.. but don't diss my intelligence or faith!! *grr* Hm, I heard somewhere that girls don't make decisions as quickly as guys because they look at things with more detail and depth. ..which is why multiple choice answers are frequently...

    How difficult/easy is your subject?

Economics, 9 - a fun lesson which feels like a bludge even though we're still doing work [which is good xD] Physics, 8 - all we're doing is graphs which is boring.. and my teacher sorta sucks Maths Adv/Ext 1 - 8.. we just started the ext 1 stuff so it's getting harder. Well not really a lot...

    Best/Most Useful Textbook

What about Jones & Couchman 3U Maths Book 1? My school uses that one and so far it seems good. I think there's a 3U Book 2 too, although I'm not sure if that's continued from Book 1 in the preliminary course or the book for the HSC course...

How useful is it in uni?

Ooh I see I see. Lol I just have a lot of UNSW booklets so I've been using them as a basis of my decision making.:) Lol um.. thanks for your passionate advice but I do understand that scaling isn't everything. But there are subjects that scale well AND I'm interested in.. so it's all good :)

    Girls in IPT?

Heh I go to an all-girls school and I think we have about 21 students studying IPT.

Difference Between A Social And An Ethical Issue?

    Wouldn't copyright go under ethical issue? Copyright is a legal thing after all.. ^^;

Who came first in their ipt class :D

Haven't finished IPT yet [in my HSC year] but my class is really competitive and the different between first and second place isn't even a whole mark. Or half a mark. For example, I got 1% lower than the first ranker in our last report and I came fourth. Grr.

    Is IPT worth it?

Well the stuff we learn can be pretty interesting. But its a lot of theory work and book reading. It also looks pretty good that you've done a full on in-depth course on computer technology and all that. But it also doesn't scale well, so you'll have to be prepared to actually do your work...

How useful is it in uni?

Hmm but Engineering Studies doesn't scale that well either does it? So I'm not sure if I'd do it for sure anyway. And I can only think of one teacher in my school who might be qualified to teach it, and its still a 'might'. Well I was considering biomedical, civil, mechanical or maybe...

How useful is it in uni?

Hiya all. I'm interested in studying engineering when I finish high school but my school doesn't even offer engineering studies as a HSC course [to the best of my knowledge]! Does anyone know if engineering studies is simply helpful and supportive or vital in studying engineering? One would...

    Other girls doing Engineering Studies?

Personally I'd love to do Engineering Studies. I'm interested in becoming an engineer when I finish high school but I don't think my school even offers it.. *cries* I go to an all-girls school so maybe they just presume no one will want to do it? [So much for an 'empowered feminist' school...
