    complex number question

Geometrically, draw a unit circle, pick any point on the circle in quadrant-1, to represent z. The complex number 1 is on the circle where it intersects the x-axis. If you draw the parallelogram with adjacent sides representing z and 1 you have the diagonal thru the origin as the complex number...

You guys think uni's are gonna be easier to get in for 2020?

When unis make you an early offer, it's because they are desperate to fill their classes. Don't think it's because you are great or something.

Where to go for chemistry tuition?

No, I don't think it is a one-time thing. The father has been "complaining" the son isn't spending more time doing Medicine (as a doctor).

Where to go for chemistry tuition?

His father has been doing lots of charity work - doing things for others for free. A regular blood donor - over 360 times. I think his son was badly influenced by him.

ICHO (He qualified to represent Australia for 3 subjects) - maybe I should not reveal too much in case anyone here gets tutored by him.

Where to go for chemistry tuition?

I know someone, a former Chemistry Olympian, and a medical doctor, giving FREE online (because of the Coro ... ). In fact, I was told he gives free tuition in 4 HSC subjects. I think I'm going to be flooded with requests for more info!

Need help with financial maths question

    The formula for monthly repayment, M, that you may not use for the HSC is: M = P\times \frac {r(1+r)^n}{(1+r)^n -1} where P = $200000, n = 20 x 12 = 240 compounding periods and r = .06/12 = 0.005 = interest rate per compounding period so that M = 200000 \times \frac {0.005 \times...

Trigonometric Functions and Graphs Fitzpatrick Questions

Solution very nicely set out and handwriting really neat. But not sure if your answers fully correct. p/s: 3 values; yours correct.

Handwriting help to write neater AND faster

I suspect your hand gets sore because you are not holding your pen the right way. From my observation, maybe 3 out of 4 people nowadays have the wrong grip.

    Dumb Textbooks

No need to be scared. Just have another textbook - be it Cambridge or Fitzpatrick et al.

    Dumb Textbooks

Ask yourself: Why is "Maths in Focus", I guess, so widely adopted textbook, if it is so bad?

    Writing Speed

Yesterday someone contacted me for advice on handwriting. I thought she has problems with her handwriting. She does not. In fact she writes better than most students. She writes in cursive - i.e. running writing. That's the basis of speedy handwriting. Problem is, since the last 20 or more...

    Writing Speed

The "battery method"? That's rubbish. How does the attachment of a battery improve your speed?

I'd be happy to show you a sample of my handwriting, if you can provide me your mobile number. Embarrassingly, I don't know how to upload one to you here. Just because I know a thing or two about handwriting, since I grew up using handwriting and even the calculator has not been invented yet, it...
