What can I do right now for my exam prep in 5+ weeks away?

No worries, I think that an important thing to do before going to your teacher for help is to do your best to understand whichever concept you may be struggling with. You may find that you have made some progress, although you may eventually be stuck at a certain point. This is better than not...

    Music 2 +Ext Scaling

A scaled mark is a mark that UAC uses as part of calculating an ATAR. It is produced using a raw HSC mark which is not reported to students.

    persuasive writing

In determining the emotion that you aim to elicit from your reader, you may wish to consider your character/personality. If you are naturally a humourous or optimistic person, you could write an imaginative piece that covers certain events experienced by the main character(s) which can make...

    Year 11 atar prediction?

To clarify, ATAR estimates can be produced using year 11 results and ranks. A year 11 student is simply treated as a year 12 student for this purpose, although it obviously cannot cover potential changes in cohort size (for example, if students drop a subject) and individual student performance...

What can I do right now for my exam prep in 5+ weeks away?

It seems like you have the potential to be an academically capable student (as seen in your Mathematics Advanced and Software Engineering results and, to a lower extent,), although your performance is being limited as a result of your inconsistent application to your studies. The good thing is...

    Subjects

In terms of your study aspirations beyond the HSC, your subject selection seems appropriate. If you consider computer science degrees, you will find that they treat either Mathematics Advanced or Mathematics Extension 1 as assumed knowledge (depending on the university). You are currently taking...

They may be difficult to access online and cannot be shared on BoS because they are subject to copyright. If your school uses CSSA, perhaps you could ask your teachers to provide you with past papers.

erm chat is an 85 atar attainable or...

Considering the remaining percentage of your internal assessment tasks/exams that is yet to be determined, as well as your HSC exams (which on their own contribute 50% of your overall HSC marks), an 85 ATAR should be within reach. Seeking an ATAR estimate would allow you to pinpoint your current...

honestly i’m so torn on what to do at uni. can you still get a job as a teacher with a diploma of education?

It is important to note that not all education/teaching programs are accredited by NESA. Becoming a teacher in NSW requires completion of a NESA-accredited degree, a list of which can be found here (sorted by university/educational institution). Because of this, diplomas and graduate diplomas in...

The first and second questions are both from past HSC exams. Specifically: The first question is from the 2004 Mathematics Extension 1 HSC exam. The second question is from the 2005 Mathematics Extension 1 HSC exam. I hope this helps! 😄

Where can I find this question and how do I solve it?

This question is from the 2004 Mathematics Extension 1 HSC exam. In terms of working, would the following help?

Do u guys think I could make a switch to chem right now from earth in year 11?

Probably not, especially if there is a Chemistry bridging course available, which you can complete without having to worry about the HSC and will satisfy the assumed knowledge recommendation. Universities including USyd, UNSW and UTS offer Chemistry bridging courses.
