    First Year Physics

The School of Physics recommends that you do normal level maths (MATH100X) alongside physics, but I did fundamental units and went fine in first year physics. If you did MX1 then you have to do normal maths units. Unless you're planning on going into theoretical physics for honours/postgrad...

    Enrolment Variation

I got an email saying 11 of February. It'll probably be then if that's what everyone else is saying.

    Neuroscience additional requirements

You can major in both neuroscience and psychology/pharmacology if your psych/PCOL units are those which aren't counted in a neuroscience major and if there are enough non-counted units to make up 24 credit points. For example, third year social psychology doesn't contribute to a neuroscience...

    Anatomy and Histology/Physiology

From what I heard about Concepts, it's largely a recap of HSC Biology with some labs about enzymes and DNA thrown in. Human Biology was a large step ahead of HSC Biology and essentially an introduction to anatomy and physiology. Teaching is done by a variety of lecturers, who range from boring...

    O Week 2013 - Sydney University

You only have to purchase a new shirt for the BBQ. Having a shirt already means you're a member.

    Subject Selections 2013

I'm not sure if they did, but Brain and Behaviour (PSYC2011) and Cognitive and Behavioural Neuroscience (PSYC3014) will have advanced streams. It's the same as the regular stream, but tutes focus on research in neuroscience.

    Neuroscience additional requirements

For a major in neuroscience, you have to choose from at least two subject areas from the selected NEUR, PSYC and PCOL units. This means you can't only do NEUR units for a major in neuroscience, you have to have at least one other subject area to qualify for a neuroscience major.

Is Physics compulsory in first year Medical Science at USYD?

Physics isn't compulsory in med science. You can swap it out for psychology.

    US Gun Control Proposals

But dude, think about the havoc America will go through if you take away armour-piercing rounds! Video relevant.

B science majors how does it work

Apart from maths, you can do anything you want including elective units that are out of general interest. You should consult this table to see what you should or need to do in your first year to get into second and third year units. First year units are denoted as XXXX1xxx (eg PHYS1001...

B science majors how does it work

How many majors depends on the uni. I can't say for most unis, but USyd has 27 different science majors from biology and physics to more specialised fields like plant science and anatomy & histology. UNSW should have a similar number of science majors. Again, I can't say for all unis but at...

    human bio - few questions

Human Biology has a lot of anatomy and physiology, so you should get studying on your anatomical positions. Apart from that, I thought it was a good course and I recommend doing it.

    USyd bonus point

Just checked USyd's bonus point scheme for your desired degree and this is what I got: "Band 4 or above in Maths (not General) and Band 4 and above in at least one of Biology, Chemistry, Earth & Environmental Science, Geography, Physics or Software Design and Development" So provided that the...

    TSP

At USyd, you're only invited into TSP if you received an ATAR of 99 and above with a band 6 in any science subject. UNSW considers people with ATARs that are 95 and above. Of course, both unis will make exceptions and in your case you might get into USyd with a state rank in MX1 and an ATAR just...

Unit of Study Marks for Semester 2 [USYD]

MBLG1001 Molecular Biology and Genetics (Intro) - 67.0 Credit PHYS1003 Physics 1 (Technological) - 62.0 Pass PSYC1002 Psychology 1002 - 76.0 Distinction I was thinking I was going to do much worse in physics, and my WAM dropped by 0.9, but at least it's over. Pic related.

Unit of Study Marks for Semester 2 [USYD]

Mathematical Modelling - 67.0 Credit Introduction to Linear Algebra - 65.0 Credit I was hoping to do better in Modelling, but I guess it's better than a credit and a pass last semester.

Can you recieve multiple course offers at the same time during main round offers?

Re: is commerce more prestigious than economics? or the other way around? Commerce degree prestige.

    Flexible Entry

Any student with bonus marks that are above the cut-off will get in. The way it works at USyd and any other university in the state is that bonus points are added on top of an ATAR and when the university considers applicants they only consider the final ATAR after bonus points are added. But...
