    Best sushi in Sydney?

Yoshii just near Circular Quay. It's pricey ($100 per head) but amazing. Has two chef's hats atm and is in the Top 25 restaurants in the country. On the tuna, you are absolutely right. It's usually poor quality and low in fat. The top of the line toro is amazing, as long as you know what to...

    Knives

I'm just going of my own experience, and the experiences of my peers. The only chef's I know that have Japanese knives are first year apprentices who have convinced mummy and daddy that's the best knife to get because they saw Jamie using them. Some of them even get the one's with the lacquered...

    Favourite Restaurants

Hmmm... Sydney - Quay, Marigold Chinese Restaurant, Est, Pier, Sushi Choo, Rockpool Bar & Grill, Yoshii, Pilu at Freshwater and Tetsuya's. Melbourne - Ezard, Gingerboy, Vue De Monde Brisbane - Bar Alto, Salon, The Buffalo Club, Montrachet, Urbane Paris - L'Arpege, Pierre Gagnaire...

    Knives

Yep, Global are quality knives and are a really good price. Just not suited to me. Here's the process I go for when I pick a new knife. Hope it helps some people in the future... * Firstly, go to a reputable dealer. Stay away from King of Knives and find a hospitality store. Something to...

    Corona...

Moorilla does a wheat beer that is stunning. It's a Hefeweizen, so it's a German Style wheat beer. Actually, all their beers are fantastic. Any decent bottle shop that has a good range of "exotic" beers i.e ales, stouts etc and other imports should be able to get you some. A LOT of beer...

    Knives

Hmmm... good question. I love my F. Dick Premier Plus chef's knife. Great balance, holds a good edge and has a nice weight for my hands. I've got a Shun. Used to be my favourite, but it's only really good for fine knife work on fruit and vegetables. The blade is too fine for heavy duty work...

    Best sushi in Sydney?

Sushi Choo in the City. It's down the alleyway near Peter Alexander across from Wynyard station on George St. It's part of the Merivale Group. Strikingly fresh seafood, great service and extremely well made. Not the usual salmon, tuna & kingfish sashimi or california roll (gasp!). Interesting...

    The Drinking Thread!!!!

Re: favourite drinks Hmmm... Beer - Not lagers but ales. Better quality beer with more character. As a game, and to prove my point, my friends and I blind tasted beers. There were 3 different lagers and 3 different ales. They all decided that the lagers were insipid, characterless beers...

Angry Angus Beef Burger [Hungry Jacks]

University Timetables: Basic Rules for Freshmen

Do you have to go to all of those lectures? Doesn't seem right

    Someone please help me!

Yep! Didn't change a thing, only ticked the box and proceeded to the checkout.

    Someone please help me!

Might have to call the university. They should be able to help you along your way. They might have to reset your units back to what they should be. The other thing though is mine might actually be the one that iss wrong in which case.... Shit Shit Shit! lol! My table was like that when I...

    Someone please help me!

This is what mine looked like. The only thing that was different was that the Status column had the units as Unconfirm (or unenrolled) or something like that. That's what was originally there when I first enrolled.

I have a question about Tutorial

Not usually. I guess it depends on your learning style, but the tutorial you have each week I'm pretty sure is based on the previous weeks work so it shouldn't matter too much. Some people like to have a lecture that leads into a tute, whereas others like it the other way around.

    Which is better?

Commerce/Arts. It's a double degree which is a big bonus. You can always major in International Business (if it's a major available) in Commerce which will go hand in hand with the Asian Studies.

    Someone please help me!

As I recall, you have to go into MySR, click on enrolment on the left hand side, find unit selection when the screen loads and click on it. Then, you will end up in a "shopping cart" kind of thing, where you select each of the units by ticking the box and then proceed to checkout. This will then...

B comm at unsw, usyd or melbourne university? HELP

Good.... I was gonna say! The world is only going to get smaller in the future so having a background from a multicultural univeristy can only be a good thing. Mind you, there is some pretty narrow minded people around on here.

B comm at unsw, usyd or melbourne university? HELP

Yes, multiculturalism IS a good thing. Are you being sarcastic? Not sure that I like your attitude if you are.
