Should i choose Chinese Heritage for Year 11 Subject Selection?

You'll know when you get there :) I remember last year I was like, "I'm going to do 14 units. It's going to be fine. I don't know why everyone's complaining. 4U maths and 4U English... I've got this." Now it's really different and I'm sticking to English Advanced and hopefully do 12 units for...

    Combined med usyd.

Would you just need to answer every question they give to you and be polite? Or would you need a secret weapon to make yourself 'shine'?

    Repeating year 12?

If you wanted you repeat, you should have thought of that a LONG time ago. Probably at around the start of the year. There's a girl at my school who's going to repeat, but that's because half the time she was fundraising for some cause. So she's doing half her subjects this year. But since you...

Rankings required for a 99.95 ATAR hopeful :)

Assuming if OP tops all his subjects at school and gets 2 or 3 state ranks, then would you say he'll get 99.95?

    Hist Ext or Eng Ext?

LOL I get what you mean but when you're not doing very well, in the end it could turn ugly. If both your tutor and teacher told you to pick up Ext. History then do it! Your school is very good at humanities so it scales you pretty well anyway regardless of what subject you choose (I think there...

Rankings required for a 99.95 ATAR hopeful :)

So I'm guessing at a 90-100s ranked school, you should only be first in every subject?

    Truongs Maths Tutoring, any comments?

If you're in yr10, after the exit exam (which passed I think) it's very unlikely that he'll accept you. Under some circumstances, he could let you in but you'll have to be pretty lucky

How does 3unit maths help you with 2unit maths?

Well 3U covers everything of 2U as well. So as long as you're solid in 3U, you shouldn't have any trouble at all in 2U. So yeah, it does help you quite a lot.

Which of chemistry, bio, and physics should i chose????

Well most of the people in my grade who chose chemistry are going to drop it by the end of year 11 - due to the demand of work and difficulty. They had the misconception that chemistry was easier than physics (assuming they already chose biology). I personally find physics easier than...

    Changing school

I did the test last year and lol, I kicked myself so hard because I didn't try. But now that I look at it, it was so easy. I remember some questions there were in previous school cert exams and yeah. I know a guy who wrote one paragraph for english but absolutely aced maths and he came 3rd I...

    Maxima and minima problems

Well you should do as much as practice as possible because after a while, all the questions are the 'same'. That is, they require you to do the same method, just with different values. Of course, there might be some twists but you'd just have to learn from that.

    The Brain for English Tutoring?

The Brain tutors both groups and individuals at a very reasonable price! I've never heard any bad comments about it and if I lived in Hurstville, I'll definitely go there.

    Factors Affecting High Marks

I think I know what OP is getting at. Even though sometimes things son't 'click' for certain people, it shouldn't stop them from trying. Most people would give up and use the excuse of, "I don't need this for my future job..." But if you put enough effort in and keep doing the same/similar...
