    Subject selection help

Honestly, think about whether you'll really use your free periods. I mean in year 11 I dropped pdh so I could spend more time for maths, but instead that period is just used to relax and de-stress. If you don't feel motivated or enjoy the subject, personally I would drop it. But also, try get...

    I need some answers...

Honestly, I think you're having trouble with the subjects because you don't understand them and have lost confidence in yourself. I think if you work hard to properly UNDERSTAND and not just MEMORISE (like everyone else does), I reckon you should still do okay. Good luck mate.

    songs as related texts?

I've heard from way too many people that it isn't a good idea. Personally, I think that it's perfectly fine, just as long as you don't pick a very mainstream pop song. I think best way to go is probably have a look through triple j's top 100 songs or something of that sort, go alternative.

    Writing practice essays

Just wondering, about studying for English, I hear everyone is writing practice essays on belonging. I was wondering, how do you write an essay on general terms? I mean, how can you prepare an essay if you don't know what the topic is? Also, what paragraph structure do you use? TEEL, PEEL...

Haha, what are you? 12? I'm kidding. You know PM on BoS I guess would be fine, or email or even mobile numbers. I mean, you never have to reveal identity.

What method do your teachers use for giving out notes?

For chemistry, my teacher has a PowerPoint she works off, and along with it she hands out a sheet. The ppt is a summarised version of the sheet. And then she tells us to go over the textbook ourselves at home. At the end of each dot-point we do past papers. I make notes during her lectures...
