    Romantic relationships during uni

It's up to you and your other half to make it work. Just make sure there's open lines of communication - you guys are on the same page with respect to how much time you guys spend together and general expectations. There's never a right time :)

    Still Confused :(

I do straight comm at UNSW and I honestly hate it with a passion. Haha, so I feel ya, I want to do an arts degree as well - possibly studying psych or history. HOWEVER my job depends on me completing my comm degree, so I'm not in the same position as you to opt out (I'm looking to transfer...

    Asian parents and affection

Between my sister and my mum, yeah they're very affectionate. Hugs and kisses. My dad was. My stepdad is. My dad was irish/ stepdad Hungarian. I guess I don't live in a traditional asian household though. Plus... I think Filipinos tend to be a little bit more loving, haha

Random thought for encouragement for low achievers

No not really. However, it was in year 11 that they really started to pick up the pace. Like asking for extra work, having essays marked etc Then BAM in year 12 they were on fire.

Random thought for encouragement for low achievers

I can assure you they exist. I went to what is considered a disadvantaged school. A couple of the girls were pretty average. Their junior years, they weren't doing so well academically. But damn did they work hard when they got to year 12 and achieved ATARs of 95+

    Social life in uni

I've made a handful of good friends from uni and I only go to uni 1-2 days a week. Funnily enough, most of the friends I have made at UNSW aren't Asian.

    Cadetships 2014

Yes you can! I applied for cadetship programs this year and I'm a first year. You can also just go in as a junior/ungrad which I have done. At HC, the cadets/juniors are pretty much the same level, get same work/training and pay/benefits.
