    Who's doing pharmacy this year?

    Oh...this sucks *sigh* Most of you are interested in studying Pharmacy at USYD. I think I'm probably the only one excited about studying it at CSU! XD

    Who's doing pharmacy this year?

    Yeah, I think a lack of interest in the pharmacy course at CSU caused the UAI cut off to be lowered heaps this year.

    UMAT test 2009

    I know...I hate the damn thing! But I'd rather do the UMAT again and again and again rather than sit GAMSAT which is 6 hours long!!!! X_x Well, the need for UMAT is this, I think. Heaps and heaps and heaps of people want to do medicine right? UAI's cut the numbers down. But there are still...

    UMAT test 2009

    Thanks a BUNCH Wooz. I would so give you a block of choclate for that! ^^ Just the abbreviations...umm eheh! XD What does UNCLE stand for and what exactly is bond? I've heard of rural bond where you have to work in a rural area for 6 years after you get your degree, but nothing about just 'Bond'.

    job prospects for pharmacy?

    Oh wow! O_O I didn't know about this stuff. *Shudder* I really don't like the idea of a store manager looking down over a pharamicist's.....it feels kinda degrading! >_< I hope Woolies/Coles don't win. LOL! We can become radical protestors when we're students XD I've always wanted to protest XD

    job prospects for pharmacy?

    I'm sorry I'm a bit thick....umm, so Woolies and Coles have liquor stores that are equal in number to pharmacy stores? Or do you mean that they are making pharmacy stores? :S

    UMAT test 2009

    Rural-ness = having lived in a rural area for at 5 years....I missed out because I have lived in Cootamundra for only 4 years and 6 months...well it's a bit more now. But I was told I could reapply through that scheme this year. Okay this is the list of univeristies I know that have med...

    UMAT test 2009

    What do you mean by 'opposites attract'? XD And what's with the abbreviations? I know that UWS = University of Western Sydney, UNE = Uni of New England....but what do the other's stand for? XD Damn...I should know those.... I only applied for UNSW and University of Newcastle last...

    UMAT test 2009

    Um...well I did have some that I met on Med camp (for rural students)...but I haven't talked to them for ages! X_x which is partly my fault XD

    job prospects for pharmacy?

    Deregulation of the industry? What do you mean by that? O_o
  11. -::Sanni::-

    Who's doing pharmacy this year?

    Ahaha! XD No STAT test for pharmacy at CSU and the UAI cut off there was 80.7 ...I'm hoping that isn't meant to reflect that the course is poor quality >_< Well for 2007, I think the cut-off was 90-ish so it has fell a hell of a lot! XD
  12. -::Sanni::-

    UMAT test 2009

    David...I have no medically inclined friends.... >_< No one in my high school wanted to do medicine. No one in my high school is going to university this year other than me (except for maybe just one other person).... T_T

    UMAT test 2009

    Oh okies! ^^ But what is 'IRL'? Ugh! I guess I won't do the interview thing.... *sigh*
  14. -::Sanni::-

    job prospects for pharmacy?

    Oh i didn't know that. But $18/hour is pretty good for pre registration year. Yeah it would cost a lot of money to buy a franchise. But to start a business from scratch is quite expensive too, maybe even more so.... But even if it is costly to get a franchise, you would surely get enough...

    UMAT test 2009

    You got a uai of 99.95 + ???? O_O Holy cow.... i'm so jealous... but 'tis my fault for not studying as hard as I should have.... Actually I'm planning on re-applying to study med at UNSW through the rural scheme...where the uai criteria is 90 +

    UMAT test 2009

    OMG! X_x 6 hours!!! T_T I don't have an attention span that lasts for that long! And I really suck at physics.... T_T Then I'm not sure if my studying pharmacy over at CSU will be sufficient science knowledge for the GAMSAT -_-
  17. -::Sanni::-

    UMAT test 2009

    Oh really? That's awesome! ^^ Unlucky people like me will probably have to do the GAMSAT *sigh* I've wanted to study medicine for so long. But I'm not entirely sure if I'll still want to study it after I complete the pharmacy course.... Actually I want to do both! XD But the thought of nearly 10...

    job prospects for pharmacy?

    Oh if you had trouble finding it...like me! XD Here's the link: http://www.myfuture.edu.au/services/default.asp?FunctionID=5050&ASCO=238200A I think it's for retail pharmacists. In 2006, 75.8% of full time working pharmacists received $1000 or more per week. I think that's pretty good! ^^ Oh...

    job prospects for pharmacy?

    I agree with rcr4fags. I've had some work experience at our local pharmacy and there is a WHOLE lot of stuff you need to do to get everything managed and organised. SO when if I get my pharmacy degree there is NO WAY i'm starting my own pharmacy. I'm going to learn and work for a couple of years...

    UMAT test 2009

    Yea...you'd have to sit the GAMSAT test huh? Actually, do you think GAMSAT is/might be easier than UMAT? Which course are you considering doing at USYD?...since you have to do one of their courses to be able to apply for their post-grad med course right?
