    27 Wtf

What is this about subtracting 2 ohms??? what i did... drew the graph. found the inverse of the gradient, 7.5 ohms. wire x was pure because it had a larger gradient and thus smaller resistance. because it is not perfectly ohmic, it was ohmic untill the voltage got to a certain level, the fact...

    CONFIRMED mc answers!

    1.c 2.c 3.b 4.a (know vairable, H, on x axis, unkown on y axis) 5.c (round up the answer from 0.625, even if it is going way the interval would be the same) 6.a 7.c 8.b 9.b 10.a 11.d 12.b 13.a 14.d 15.b or d (i put b but not 100% on either)

    27 Wtf

oooh that reminds me. the very last part of q 27. Why is one of the points off the line. I put because the wire is not a perfect ohmic conductor and therefore wont conform perfectly to v=IR. thoughts?

    Multi choice Q15

lol lets get this straight. A and C are wrong for sure, we are tossing up between B and D as it is clear that they move left not right :)
  6. C

    Estimate raw mark

hopefully 90-94, there was nothing i didnt know, sometimes they get really picky with the essay questions tho...

    Question 15 - POLL

lol u stole my thread :D i blame my innability to create polls :P
  8. C

    Multi choice Q15

yeh i put d initially then changed it to b. it is a p type conductor so the holes are in the valance band. Thus the electrons rather strangly travel through the valance band in order to conduct.

    Multi choice Q15

Wondering what people got and why, seemed like the only hard multi choice to me. "a block of silicon dope with boron is connected as shown in the diagram below" i guess that we will all agree they move left, but was it the conduction band or valance band? zzz i was gonna make it a poll but...

OMG! Did we get slipped a 4U paper?

yeh i think 4 unit did help alot... the graphing and the in equality with absolute graphs was made easier by 4 unit. The circle geometry was also easier cause of 4 unit. i laught at 3 unit integration when i see it for the same reason...
  12. C

    Fail

heaps of people from my school said they would fail... i was averaging abut 85% on past papers but thinking about 70% on this :(

    Hsc 1990-1999

In four unit we actually have a topic on out book called harder 3 unit. I have no 2 unit books so i have no idea about financial.
  14. C

    Hsc 1990-1999

not too bad... they have very different questions though like financial math. I assume we dont need to know financial as i have no idea bout them cause i did 4 unit, never did that 3 unit stuff.
  15. C

    Cssa 2008

Heaps harder the hsc ones. i got like 60% in the CSSA one but average 80% in hsc papers. might me cause i didnt study for trials tho :P

    General Thoughts: Mathematics Extension 2

Re: What did you think? i didnt do the ratio for the probabilities. did you have to find the limiting sum as n-> infinity for the aswers in i)-iii). seemed like too much effot for one mark. hopeing 60% zzz. went too slowly..

    General Thoughts: Mathematics Extension 2

Re: What did you think? I didnt think the questions were too bad... they just took heaps of time. didnt even try q8 caus ran out of time..

    DotA

lol wat is worse is that ive gotten over dota in the past few days... ive been playing vampirsm and each game takes like 2 hours...

yay tyvm. that was very helpful :)

    Graphing e^f(x) and xf(x)

Can any one explain to be general rules i should follow if i want to graph the following. x f(x) e^f(x) cant seem to find it in any of my text books
