How is everyone feeling about MX1 lately?

    Well, in part (i), you get it in the form 2sin(4t+\frac{\pi }3{}) For part (ii), let it = 0, sin(4t+\frac{\pi }3{})=0. Then 4t+\frac{\pi }{3}= (-1)^{n}.0+\pi n 4t=\pi n - \frac{\pi }{3} t=\frac{\pi n}{4}-\frac{\pi }{12} #

    JRAHS 2005 solutions

This exam wasn't that bad. Just the annoying induction question.

    Formulae/topics in 2U that aren't covered in 3U

Hey, I'm going to wing my 2U exam but don't want to completely fail so what are the topics/formulae in 2U that you must know that aren't in 3U? All I can think of currently is: - probability - Superannuation (Is this also in 3U? I see this in 3U James Ruse all the time) - Growth and decay...

Can someone give an impression of my Creative piece?

Bold --> Way too many similes. WAY too much. Some of them don't make sense and just hinder me in forming an image in my mind as there are so much irrelevant comparisons. Underline --> It's alright to have an exaggeration here and there but damn, you have way too many. Whatever is in bold and...

Do schools even do the CSSA/Independent papers at the same time? I swear, people just ask other schools for the questions..

Will you get lower marks if you use related texts from study guides?

    That's what I thought :O Thanks for that :D

Will you get lower marks if you use related texts from study guides?

Do you think that a person would get lower if they use a related text from a study guide like excel? I'm guessing a lot of people in the state would have been desperate for a text and just used whatever the study guides have so they don't have to do the hard work. Will the markers catch on this...

Earth travelling through space - we can/cannot feel it?

It was reffering to my first post. And yeah, I didn't see that reply but I agree that the acceleration is not large enough for any real difference to occur. The other main reason is that if Earth were to accelerate, we would too since the planets are essentially in free-fall.

Earth travelling through space - we can/cannot feel it?

But this isn't about relativity or anything. I'm simply asking if we can feel the acceleration as we approach the sun. Well, I was bothered to figure it out and the reason we can't feel it is because the acceleration increases gradually, so it can't be felt. And it's also because we accelerate...

Earth travelling through space - we can/cannot feel it?

    Ah yeah, sorry - it's approx 100 000km/h not km/s

Earth travelling through space - we can/cannot feel it?

Hypocrisy and irony at its finest :) Nice to know that people can't extend their knowledge past the scope of the syllabus.

Earth travelling through space - we can/cannot feel it?

Lol, nvm, you guys fail at applying physics =/ Hope for your sakes that nothing above average gets asked.

physics - definition of a metre

Lol, isn't it obvious?.. According to special relativity, speed of light is constant by all observers. So no matter where you are, even on another planet, the unit metre can always be measured. It is also much more accurate. The old one where it was 1/10000000th of the circumference of the...

Earth travelling through space - we can/cannot feel it?

Ok, what about Earth accelerating when closer to the Sun? Is that also negligible?

In order to get a 90+ atar, what assessment marks do you need?

Aim for like 60% in exams. Be in the middle of the school. EDIT: Oh wait, lol. Depends on which school. If you're not in the 100s then try and aim to be in top 10% of the school I guess.

Earth travelling through space - we can/cannot feel it?

We can’t feel ourselves move through space since we are always at a constant velocity (I think around 100 000km/s) so based on our frame of reference, we can consider ourselves stationary. However, according to Kepler’s second law, we move faster when the Earth is closer to the sun due to its...

How much do you spend on tutoring?

Probably Harrys. Lol wtf, doesn't harrys site have the prices for each course?

    Things that annoy you.

When I'm copying/downloading a file and it says 1 second remaining even though it ends up taking 10 seconds =/

How hard is it to get a 90+ mark in English?

Yeah, that's probably the reason why. I don't really have time to adapt it that much. I just change the thesis/topic sentences and go from there. But that's because I'm writing 1000+ words in 40 minutes which really doesn't leave me much time to think. And I never have the time to sit down and...
