    Was that a Maths exam?

Troll or not a troll, he made some genuine points and you're comment was still just a direct attack against him. Read the bottom paragraph of my above comment, does that not explain it to you? And if you illustrate to us, that you didn't need a calculator, use a better example than rt (69)=...

    Was that a Maths exam?

But you didn't need to make such a snyde comment, it was out of context. Ability to work numbers without calculator doesn't need MX2 knowledge nor does it require an outstanding mathematical ability. It's just remembering significant results and manipulate others to results that are known by...

    Was that a Maths exam?

That was uncalled for, random hit the nail on the head with what he said about you

    Was that a Maths exam?

I'm sorry, but that is fucking bullshit. Obviously you're serious. Ok so then you go 1-(0.99999)^2= 0.00002 So now, whats the square root of 0.00002? Explain to me how you would do that?
  9. addikaye03

    Was that a Maths exam?

Well technically, you should go to the greatest amount of decimal places given in the Q, e.g. speed of particle is 0.899c, length is 0.8. you go to 3 d.p So my Q follows, how do you go to 3dp+?

    Was that a Maths exam?

Isn't that the common perception of physics from exterior?

    4unit and engineering

That's interesting dude, explain more. I've heard alot about MATLAB, is that similar to excel is it? I'm currently learning vectors (surjective etc) to go onto matrices, i hear people talking about DE (differential equations) and Laplace transform alot, sounds like powerful stuff.

    4unit and engineering

I learn it under my own accord at home, but sat the HSC 2009 exam. Which will effectly alter my UAI (not that i need it for my course). What you do is enrol through 'board of studies' (instead of through a school) and you can do any number of units, in this case, i did Mx2 (1unit) and resat...

    Was that a Maths exam?

O.o, do you mean that as in the number of maths Q compared to theory or the difficulty of the maths? If the latter, i wouldn't take Uni Physics if i was you

    4unit and engineering

Well i was in a similar postion to you, i finished the HSC in 2008, deferred my position for a year, main reason was to work. I decided, i might aswell teach myself Mx2 to keep me active during the year i have off (so i don't forget everything). Sat the Mx2 exam this year. That's how i knew...

    4unit and engineering

Do: -Complex numbers (easy topic to learn by yourself) -Integration (probably easiest topic to learn by yourself) -Volumes (slicing, cylindrical shells and similar triangle Q) -Mechanics (don't be daunted, it's not that hard to self learn) -Alot of stuff in 'polynomials' compliments complex...

Why would one do general math?

why namu? why not try and study something like reimann surfaces(complex analysis, which extends on complex numbers) or mapping (vectors and matrices) or something? Surely, any concept in general will be of no use to you.
