    yes do bridging AND work your ass off next year coz you will need to, even if you do, you prob wont get any better than a CR in your math subjects. bridging course wont help if all you do is turn up and listen, after you attend each day you have to do all the problems they give you YOURSELF...

    and in medicine for that matter. they dont give you marks for just throwing in key words in exams. but i assume if you made it to medicine you are smarter than the average joe

    if you contact the uni, give them a notice of your disability, they will provide facilites for you. either they would record it for you, get in someone to type up the lecture, especially if its one of the bigger unis.

    no they dont know. everyone is still changing their preferences at the last minute. i doubt UAC give a running update of of many people have put each course as their first preference. if you ask they will tell you the truth and say they "dont know it can go up or down - supply/demand blah...

    studying your ass off and getting a gpa of 5.5 is the easy part. getting a high enough umat is the biggest hurdle.

    how long is a peice of string really. to get WAM of 75 for some people its impossible no matter what for other people it is a stroll in the park.

    you take your transcript + your old univeristies handbook with subject description, show your course co-rdinator and they will aceess if it is equivalent to one to the CSU subjects

    you learn 10% by listening, and 90% by your self at home. end of day, univeristy the lecturers present u the information, but u have to learn by yourself. they privde you with study guide, answer all the objectives in that and u will have no problems

    my gpa was around 5.5 i am going to apply for courses with UAI of 99+ for an experiment i really think that SCU conversion is under-rated. they say a gpa of 5.5 is only worth 94? i think they actually rate it more than that

    i would check on the internal transfer. i thought all transfers was through UAC, in which case you would compete EQUALLY with all other transfer students based on GPA and also school leavers based.

    yeh 1st year is mainly chem, physiology and microbiology. and a couple of pharm subjects. be carefull with the pharm subjects, a fair few people failed that.

    start of in a degree you want to do, as getting DN average is not easy. comm/law at UTS or MQ, then you can get the credits for the law subjects you done in first year. otherwise UNSW law may take another 5 years if you take on a plain b.comm course
