*Sigh* Cus I regret my uni prefs, I'm thinking of an UWS degree or a BSc of Arts to become someone in finance...

Or a BSc of Science becoming a politician, diplomat etc...? Or a BSc of Commerce/Economics becoming an engineer? Working on the assumption that there is no further study involved. Is it possible? Or are careers quite firmly fixed on your degree?

Just been thinking if everyone registers for their first offer, wouldn't there be no visible vacancy for a course? Therefore even if a B Eco wanted to change to B Arts and a B Arts wanted to change to a B Eco, it wouldn't be possible as UAC wouldn't know the positions would be vacant...?

So... Would they judge vacancy by offers sent by UAC or average annual intake acceptance of offers? The latter idea has a few flaws though: 1) They might get tooo many people. 2) How would they know the average, if population size changes every year as well?

Is there any guide to the chances of getting a second round offer? e.g. Law, Med or Commerce at USyd or UNSW Will 1 or 2 people change in such courses and so the chances will be very very slim or is there a greater flow of people?
