It's more to do with standards. Performance bands correspond to what students can do i.e. knowledge and skills. If the Board decides that say a mark of 80% on the test is enough to fulfill the criteria for the top performance band i.e. 90+ then they will adjust all the students marks upwards...

About 10% of Extension 1 Maths and 15% of Extension 2 Maths because I couldn't do the questions.

I've probably averaged 1.5-2 hours a night. Sometimes none, sometimes 3-4. Weekends usually had about 5 hours all up.

It's all relative. I know that at our school everybody found it hard.

The Music 1 Aural Exam was okay. I agree, question 1(a) was tricky, didn't know any of the instruments. But other than that it was fine. I picked dynamics for question 4. Structure would have been the perfect concept to talk about. I wish I did that.
