Should I drop Ext. History? Advice Needed!

thanks for the advice technicolour (love your dumbledore icon by the way :D) Yeah, I'm definitely leaning towards dropping it more than keeping it now. It seems like the much smarter choice. Thanks for all the advice guys! :cook:

Should I drop Ext. History? Advice Needed!

We're doing Elizabeth I for our case study. I get what you mean, rockyroad - I can already feel my mind opening a bit and thinking of 'deep' questions. I'm not too fussed either way with scaling- I'm more concerned with the workload.

Should I drop Ext. History? Advice Needed!

Thanks so much for the advice :D I do enjoy extension history so far, although admittedly we've only had three lessons so far. I think I can go well in it--- but I'm slightly scared about the workload. I do have fairly good time-management skills- but I'm not sure if it will extend to cover...

Should I drop Ext. History? Advice Needed!

Okay, so at the moment I have 11 units, including ext. history. The thing is, with the subjects I am doing I have FOUR MAJORS- which is a lot. (My subjects are listed in my signature). So my question is, would it be smart for me to drop ext. history? Then I would only have 3 majors, and I...

    Chuck (US Airing)

it's been ages since someone has posted in this thread--- but chuck is amazing and i simply can't help myself. I can't wait for third season! :D

    11 units vs 13 units?

Hmm.. in that case- then go solely on what you actually enjoy- once you've made a decision you'll probably feel much better (at least that's what I'm like). What do you enjoy more Math or Chem?

    Year 11 vs Year 12

Definitely Year 12 - - - I really enjoy al of my subjects, and I am now really dedicated to succeed at them, and this year it actually counts for something!:pirate:

doing 10 units a bad option?

do what you enjoy! essentially it will be what you succeed in... :cook:

    Future Plans (UAI/Uni/Tafe/Job)

I'm aiming for an ATAR of 90+ although I don't have any particular career in mind. Something to do with my school subjects, see below in my signature, all of which I love - I would definitely like to go to uni, either in Brisbane or Sydney ( or the best one I get into!) ---> but apart from...

    11 units vs 13 units?

Do you do Mathematics of General Maths? If you do Math than you could always drop to general, which may be a smart option if you're not understanding your current course. But ultimately, keep the subject you ENJOY - - - despite scaling, you will inevitably achieve in subjects you enjoy :D...

    Early mornings, or late nights?

Definitely nights- if I get into the assignment then I don't even mind that it's the middle of the night and it becomes easier to post-pone drowsiness. Mornings just make me freak out! :cook:

    Major Project Advice

Hmm... I guess the good thing about having so many majors is that if I get bored doing one I can always do another one for a bit :uhoh: The majors are due around the time of the trials-- generally in august or september depending on the subject.

    Major Project Advice

Yeah, I'm prepared to put lots of work in consistently throughout the entire year. Either way it's still going to be a lot--- well, they're the subjects I love so I'll manage :spin:

    Major Project Advice

thanks for the advice :spin: I definitely need to work on my majors constantly and consistently throughout the next year ( and through the summer holidays ) as I have majors for ext. 2 eng, society PIP, Art major and Ext. History major. Do you think it's doable for me to achieve high-marks...

    Competition at your school

we've got this girl at our school who claims to get a mark or two higher of whoever got the top mark. The thing is, her ranks are very average, and it is pretty well known she lies through her teeth. She takes it so far that the rest of us automatically ignore whatever mark she claims to have...

    "Study" Periods.

In response to Dyllip- we can drop as many subjects as we want whenever we want. Then again, I go to a state school so it might be different. :spin:

Class of 2010: Eng Ext 2 Roll Call

I'm doing a short story- on what i am not yet sure... but it'll come :D

    Study patterns

i've just started year 12 as being really consistent with studying. I use all my study periods, and after school I come home and go over everything I did that day. It's going well so far- but I've got four major works for year 12- so I'll be doing them constantly through the summer holidays...
