Yeah, Sigur Ros are thrown around a lot, but you can see why. Their sound is very approachable and they have both long, epics and short almost pop-like songs. That doesn't really invalidate them as a group, though. One of the hardest things to do within any post-genre is to find your own sound...

Never listened to them personally, have heard of them though. From what I know they're a really solid tech-death outfit, I mean you have to be pretty good to be a relatively successful metal band from Australia. They've toured with some of the greats, so yeah.
