BOS Voting Intentions: 2013 Federal Election

Interesting. I hadn't considered actually reading his party policies on any issue in any regard, just writing him off as a lunatic.

BOS Voting Intentions: 2013 Federal Election

When other businesses are laying off staff, they get less, idk, auto industry has had it pretty cushy for a long time. Thinking about fairness, justice. Most peoples parents I know were laid off now and then, and there's no special treatment. Dad's an academic, he has been worrying about job...

    Compulsory voting

One of the big issues in the USA electoral process is that voluntary votings means the parties spend most of their time and money just trying to get voters to turn out and vote, cf; p. Diddy: "vote or die". This means there is considerably less discussion of policy, just wastefully convincing...

    Compulsory voting

Before you ask, I definitely ticked the box to add a poll to this thread, oh well.

    Compulsory voting

What do you think of compulsory voting? Voting in the poll attached to this thread is not compulsory, imagine if all Australians over 18 were required to log into these forums and vote on this poll, it would be quite a load on the servers I expect. Only 10 countries globally enforce...

Bradley Manning sentenced to 35 years in jail

John Howard confirmed worse than Hitler.

Bradley Manning sentenced to 35 years in jail

He should have been punished because he confessed to breaking the law and he did practice Civil Disobedience. So he deserves some punishment, but he has already received (in my estimation) excessive amounts of punishment. He has been in prison for over 3 years as well as tortured, and most...

    2013 Federal election

How bad would you feel if you're in the ALP, you're in opposition and Rudd is your opposition leader.

"Third Gender" declarations on German birth certificates.

It's literally not a mutation, mutation refers to change in dna sequence, intersex is generally governed by a change in genotype. The number and type of sex chromosomes is something other than XX or XY, without any dna changes (mutation) within given genes.

    Violence in egypt

Every indication suggests Morsi was going to hold free elections. And that he was going to lose.

    2013 Federal election

They've backed themselves into a corner by saying for 3 years that the government must deliver what it promises at election, and then making horrible promises. I would be a lot more inclined to vote for the coalition if their promises would be as unreliable as during the Howard years.

Sexism - The experiences of women and men

HSC: 2013. What operations have you been on? Was your dad in the Korean war or what? There are some sexist dickheads in the ADF, according to chief of the defence force David Hurley, not every opinion of every rifleman is sensible. Who is Shane? That would depend what you were saying in...

    2013 Federal election

Gillard became prime minister because she was significantly more popular with her colleagues, Rudd had made enemies of every faction, she was also more popular with the Australian public, polling higher than Rudd at the time of the leadership challenge, Rudd may have lost the 2010 election...

Sexism - The experiences of women and men

It's interesting how many people with no experience of the ADF, think they know how the ADF should be run, better than the chiefs of the ADF.
