Aha, this happened to me countless times in high school. I wouldn't notice till the end of the day. Always made my day when stuff like that happened.

This was while bridging course were happening so I wasn't all that familiar with that area of the uni. Also.. you can get cans of coke for $1.60 from a vending machine on the first floor of the SB building, whether or not they have vanilla coke, I don't know.

Wasn't so much as funny as rage-inducing but I've had a bit of grief with the vending machines on campus. There's one that says it accepts 20c coins but it doesn't. On one I wanted a vanilla coke and I put in the $3 or so for it in dollar coins and it decided it didn't want to give me a vanilla...

I can't help you with getting a tutor, but if you're wanting someone who can try and help out and do group study with.. I am up for it.

Oh gees! So sorry to offend! :P It was just a suggestion.. I assumed because most internet-goers I know are fans of anime that'd be an alright. Either way the GT bar is a pretty smallish place, would probably be easier finding people in there then the brennan room. Also as a first year...

There's the anime club meetings at the GT bar on 4pm mondays that you could organise to meet up at. Just say something about something you'll be wearing that'll make you be easily recognised and all turn up early? Just a suggestion.

I tend to drive into Kotara (I'm on my Ls) and then get a bus into the uni from there. It works pretty well, if I don't drive into Kotara I have to catch 2 buses. I don't know what I'll do when I get my Ps, I'll probably do the same thing because parking sounds like a pain and the bus gets me...

Don't worry, you are not alone. I didn't do physics in year 11 and 12, but I did do the bridging course. We didn't do much on particle physics or cosmology though, we did a fair bit on mechanics and nuclear physics. If you pick up a textbook you might find it helps, mine has been pretty handy...
