Im doing some work on mass dilation and i was given a question with a nuclear reaction that releases energy from uranium. one of the questions asks to find the mass defect in the reaction what exactly is a mass defect? and how do i find it?

i got the answers, all it is is figuring out Lv and Lo but Lv = measurement from an outside frame of reference Lo = length of object within frame

It's something I and I'm sure others have wondered, is it better to type or handwrite your notes?. I've been handwriting them for years ever since year 7, but now I'm beginning to reconsider it. What are your opinions?
