Finish a subject 3 terms early

well see here's the deal. i started off in 3 Unit before realising that English and the humanities were my top priority - mathematics which would never be relevant to my choice of career path, would be time wasted. General is in part, quite similar to the Year 10 5.3 course - hence most of it i...

Finish a subject 3 terms early

the major projects. that being the exact reason why i chose to do General, in favour of Mathematics where i'd have a whole lot more work to complete. A whole lot more time would be necessary too. You'd badmouth it too if you'd seen the work.

3 hours a night is not enough!

i don't see the point in writing notes. you should be learning the content at school anyway. then perhaps write a chapter summary every so often as progressive revision. alternate methods, and studying ahead though (through study guides) now there's not a problem with that. but going too far...

    Help! Legal or Ancient

I started off doing the Preliminary course in Legal, came top 3, but i am really getting sick of it... i don't like it :S i already study modern, would they let me do a swap from legal to ancient??? it seems so much more interesting. i enjoy, and am good at writing history essays. would i be...

I know we're doing Frankenstein and Bladerunner i'm so disappointed they chose Hamlet over Julius Caesar, i really wanted that. i believe we're studying emily dickinson also. for extension we're doing Romanticism which seems pretty awesome. belonging seems very easy to pick up, and after...

Not that one. our school usually has captains go to the Mitchell Youth Leadership Forum/Camp. Unfortunately, we captains won't get to go as registrations finished before our election... tis a shame

    Stress?

well i suppose male invincibility syndrome, as well as the expense. essentially, as it is temporary and this is only the second time i feel i can deal with it and overcome it. though when the HSC exams come around, consulting a psychologist may certainly be an avenue i choose to take amidst the...

    Stress?

well yes realistically an alternative to drugs is one worth looking into. though my condition is strange in that it's somewhat subconscious, for example i do not get sweaty palms and i'm not reclusive or unstable. (others would be telling me that if i were, i'm sure) so i'd be hesitant to see a...

    Stress?

well i get asthma attacks induced by anxiety around yearly exam times. just recently actually, repeatedly short of breath and such as a result of the stress and anxiety. it's what extreme pressure does to me, but nothing a little prescription can't cure heh heh

    14 Units...too much?

didn't i read that you're doing ur course again though? makes it a tad easier when a lot of the concepts are familiar to you. so 16 for you may not be as stressful as it otherwise may be for another person

    14 Units...too much?

consider that it really depends on the subjects, i shouldn't think that 12 would be a max. more of a guide

    14 Units...too much?

Hooray for my 15 Units! 4Eng 3Hist 2Legal 2Eco 2Bio and then keep General- do no work and get 95% because it's regurgitated SC material.

worst/best english novel you have ever read in school?

woah, are you serious. i really liked it, in that as a compilation of journals etc it was unconventional...something different. plus all the sexual undertones, and multiple perspectives made it a great read in my eyes. plenty of suspense= thrillinggg (y) worst for me is catcher in the rye...

    To choose Postmodernism?

I am currently studying The Gothic at Extension 1 level. Let it be known that i am at present in year 11. As we have been given the choice of topics for next year's study, one option is Postmodernism, though whilst i am very interested in studying it, my teacher actively discouraged it as we...
