i think that students' effort is more important because at the end of the day its the student who are actually doing the HSC exams. As a student I can go out of my way to find resources if it looks as if the teacher is slacking off.

I only have one younger brother and in terms of discipline with his school work, i think he'd do better than me in the HSC.

JUST PAY YOUR FEES! its not that much if you go to a public school. i mean isnt the max of fees for public schools is only about $500?

Who cares about homework ! It does not help you when it comes to exams. To expand on study times... you should wake up at normal times on the weekends and use all the time you've got to write notes.

you should have researched ALL the info yourself. The teachers arent there to spoon-feed everything to students. And as to scaling, at my school teachers didnt want students to choose their subjects based on scaling.

teachers at my school comes to class VERY late sometimes even 20 minutes late! if a students comes 2 minutes late it ends up with the teacher losing their heads with the student !

Choosing to drop to 10 units is a HUGE deal. If you are totally confident with the 10 units you are deciding to keep then go for it. Personally, i would do 12 units for the HSC because even though there is extra work involved in doing 12 units, having them is great for back up. =)
