Election called - THE LAST DAY TO ENROL IS MONDAY!

The United States government is a poor example of an effective liberal democracy compared to the many that exist in the Commonwealth and Europe, but his point still stands.

WAAAR! Fuck the system, fuck the system, WAAAAAAAAAAR!!!

    2010 Federal Election

The Greens caucus is against it. Look up Ludlam's senate stuff. He tears Conroy apart and it's comedy gold. Abbott supports the filter. The Coalition as a whole doesn't seem to, however.

    2010 Federal Election

Why did you not include a 'neither/other' option? Preferencing Labour and Liberal last and second last will exhaust one's vote before reaching them, no? And in many seats the 2PP isn't even between these two parties. :(

Election called - THE LAST DAY TO ENROL IS MONDAY!

I strongly recommend everybody votes for the Greens in the Senate to prevent Liberal or Labour controlling the balance of power by themselves. Seeing Libertarians hate on them is rather ironic since they're the largest civil libertarian party in Australia.

Election called - THE LAST DAY TO ENROL IS MONDAY!

Get on that fucking roll and give Liberal and Labour the kick in the nuts they deserve by voting for third parties (Greens, LDP, Sex Party, all of them, whatever takes your fancy)! The Election is August 21st and the last day to enrol to vote is this Monday (19th of July). The last day to...

Essential Research just released a poll: 55-45 2PP to Labour Primary votes: Labour: 41% Coalition 38% Greens 13% 13% looks to be a new base vote share for the Greens (it was previously 10% or so) - and during Gillard's honeymoon. Excellent.

    Julia Gillard new Prime Minister

He really is. Somehow he can't fit it in his head that there are issues as important as asylum seekers, and goes as far as trying to demean the importance of any issue which threatens to take the limelight from asylum seekers. Sickening is an appropriate word.

    Julia Gillard new Prime Minister

Kind of like they got it right on Internet censorship... Oh wait, they completely fucked up one of the biggest civil rights issues of our generation.

    Julia Gillard new Prime Minister

The Coalition is arguably even smaller on civil liberties (e.g. refugee and anti-terror laws). So it's not clear cut.

Labor hangs on despite poll slip Nielsen poll shows similar result: 52-48 to Labour in the 2PP Primary votes: Labour 39% Coalition 42% Greens 13%

That poll was conducted over the weekend. As in today and yesterday. What President fiasco? You mean Obama? Labour will leak their votes to the Greens once again. It's inevitable once Greens voters/leaners find out Labour is against gay marriage, against immediate action on climate change...

PM vows to block 'dark side' of net

Anyway, something good has come out of it - a reassessment of the Refused Classification category of media, which has long been needed.

PM vows to block 'dark side' of net

The only reason they're pretending to 'tweak' it is because everybody (from businesses to scientists to other political parties to industry to ordinary citizens) is so stridently against it. One doesn't have to be a libertarian to recognise the abject stupidity of this policy.

PM vows to block 'dark side' of net

Fuck you eat Labour spin up for breakfeast, lunch and tea. It's pathetic Lentern.

PM vows to block 'dark side' of net

Actually Lentern, they're brushing it under the carpet without having to explicitly say so. What will parliament look like in 12 months? A Greens balance of power. What would that mean? Internet censorship wouldn't pass the senate.
