How do you rate your school?

Rank 20 something Teachers It varies. Some are really good and others not so great. Most are nice enough people though, and they'll all go out of their way to help you. Resources Not bad. Some textbooks are >5 years old, but I'm sure that's the case at most schools. Library's really good and...

    Snells Law

You need to know what a refractive index is, but that's pretty simple.

What / how to study & organise folders !?

After reading your post I'd recommend you work solely on English for the next few weeks.

    Integration Question

    Very nice!

    How does one do this?

There's no way anyone at Ruse was sitting on an estimate of 70 unless they were coming dead last in all their subjects. Even then I'm doubtful.

EXAM TIMETABLE: PREDICTIONS, RUMORS AND DREAMS.

..wut. Oh lord yes. Music pracs will be interesting. At least you can get them out of the way though - one less thing to worry about in November.

    Snells Law

I recently came across this question, which I thoroughly enjoyed doing; "Using Fermat's Principle, prove Snell's Law." The maths involved is actually quite simple (2/3 unit level), but it's an elegant result and explains the origins of something we're expected to mindlessly apply in prelim...

    Sk Patel

As far as I'm aware, there's no electronic copy of fully worked answers. However, many teachers do have hardcopy versions that they've done themselves, so firstly I'd ask your teacher and after that maybe a tutor or someone?

    99 + ATAR?

It's definitely possible - you're doing high scaling subjects.

Has anyone here gotten a Band 6 for History or Legal by memorising essays in HSC?

I guess. Either way, we both agree it's a dumb thing to do.

    TUTOR KIDDIES

It depends. If you're going to tutoring because you're failing a subject (I mean actually failing, not "omfg i only got 95%, i'm going to kill myself!!" failing) or even just struggling, I think there's nothing wrong with being tutored. For example, the girl I tutor is reasonably smart but...

Has anyone here gotten a Band 6 for History or Legal by memorising essays in HSC?

Judging from the last two legal studies HSC exams, I think you MIGHT be able to get away with memorising your options essays, because they tend to be pretty broad and don't force you to focus on a specific topic. It definitely wouldn't be feasible to do it for crime though. Anyway, memorising...

Music performance: 13/15 which I'm not happy with. Puts me equal 5th out of 7. That being said, the standard was pretty high and the marks for both assessments so far have been pretty close, so ranking wise it's still anyones game. English: 11/15 for both the essay and the creative...

    Question about internal marks

    hmm okay.

    Question about internal marks

Let's say I end up with 90% from my school assessments, the next highest mark is 80% and the lowest mark is 50%. We sit the HSC exam, I don't do as well as I should and the highest mark achieved by someone at my school is 95 and the lowest is 75. I'm going to get an internal mark of 95, the...

    Question about internal marks

I could be wrong, but I thought other students internal marks were moderated according to not only their ranks, but the gaps between the ranks, which (if i'm not mistaken) would result in everyone else having a lower mark than they deserve because of the high internal range and low external range.

    Question about internal marks

I'm first in MX2 and there's a fairly big gap to second place (~10%). If I manage to keep this gap, what happens if I don't do as well as I should in my external exam? Will I get the highest mark as my internal mark and then everyone elses internals drop down to accomodate how far ahead I am...
