Re: Pls read if you're considering pharm (warning: very lengthy) Cheers, thanks for that it was very insightful. I probably will go to Lismore now, it seems that the base hospital and the clinic have alot to offer patient and learning wise. Also Nimbin is close by :P

    UWS Medicine?

Theres alot of pro's and cons to going to UWS, but nothing serious or too concerning. I presume ur parents are from a different culture, i can tell you now that no med students have come under any attacks, racism, etc so far. The med building is a short walk from the station and a large...

    cost of full paying medicine

DFEE places no longer exist at public universities, only Bond university (a private university) has full fee places at around 53k+ annually or over 256k for the whole course. Most universities have Full fee places for international students who wish to study medicine.

    Who loves to eat? LOL

Hence, why BMI does not apply to asians! A more accurate measure is hip to waist ratio, etc, etc.

Should I consider medicine or just forget it?

Pfft, how am I spruiking Bond! For those who don't know Bond is a private university which requires full-fee upfront (around an insane 52-3k+ per year), all other uni's including Notre Dame have phased them out, except for international DFEE positions.

    UMAT mark ranges

The actual exam is alot harder than any of the acer official practice papers/booklets. Yeah, alot of people don't post their marks up as well, alot of people are ashamed of their poor marks, etc.

Should I consider medicine or just forget it?

Chemistry and Mathematics 2U/Ext I are only prerequisites at some undergrad uni's such as JCU, UTAS and Bond. Most uni's reccommend chemistry and mathematics for medicine, but are not compulsory at most undergrad uni's. Some such as UQ have bonus points for higher mathematics (4u) and...
