Internal Transfer to Combined Law in UNSW

Yes, you must apply through UAC. Additionally, the Law Guide has information on transferring.

    general UNSW chit-chat

Yes, since it says "Payment due date 28 July 2006" on myUNSW. Not library fines over $50 though, they must be paid.

    Addicted to prestige?

Well I have always wanted to take part in a career that has some impact on society, having an important function to play. Since law is the backbone of society, it fits this well. But I think that is different from altruistic, change-the-world type ideals. It's not so much as prestige though --...

2007 Federal Election - Coalition or Labor/Howard or Rudd?

Re: 2007 Federal Election - Coalition or Labor/Howard or Beazley? It's a lesser of two horrible evils for me, but I actually haven't decided. Although my seat is Liberal-held by about 17% anyway. (I don't think Bronny will be going anywhere until someone plows a wooden stake into her heart.)...

    Keep or Sell Textbooks?

It's not bad for learning, but terrible as a reference book. Endless waffle... though I hear the new one has slimmed down

    Keep or Sell Textbooks?

Law is an ever-changing discipline, so most lawbooks have a short shelf life. That said, I haven't sold any of my textbooks, but I still use them - mostly for moots, etc. (Thank you however, for reminding me to ditch my copy of Brown et al's Criminal Laws, which I cannot see myself ever...

    Addicted to prestige?

Without a doubt, the prestige associated with the law is a positive factor, but it is only one of many. The remuneration, interest in the work and nature of the profession are far more important to me. Has it affected my career choices? I think because I love all aspects of law it wouldn't...

    Gay marriage in NSW/Australia

lol I think neo_o's comments may have been a reference to Watergate. Remember Senator Ervin and his pocket constitution?

    8 Year Old Girl Murdered

Actually it has been known for a while now that imprisonment does very little to combat crime at all. There are extremely poor correlations between greater imprisonment and decreasing crime rates. (For example, studies like this in the USA have examined the factors operating on crime levels...

Man sues Michael Jordan for looking like him

 You can't sue someone for looking like you. The stupid thing is, unless he can get a summary judgment, Jordan will probably just settle it to get rid of him, instead of dragging himself through a lawsuit.

    Gay marriage in NSW/Australia

Do not try to impose the secular nation standard? Why not? Marriage is not a religious institution any more. It carries legal and social weight. It is fundamentally at odds with liberalism to impose some (ridiculously archaic) religious concept of marriage upon those who do not hold such views.

    Most Beautiful Women

Yeah Her smile was a bit creepy... too many teeth, reminded me of a shark But outside of that psycho-girl context I think she's quite hot :) .

    Most Beautiful Women

Yeh she was :P But I mean, after that scene where she straddles Clark in her underwear.. damn!
  14. MoonlightSonata

    Most Beautiful Women

Yes, alrite. Absolutely not. Notwithstanding how pretty she is, Natalie Portman was at her worst, most cut-out, cringe-worthy, Bold and the Beautiful level of atrocity in that series of movies. It may well be in order to blame the limited role and script given to her, but still, to select that...

    Most Beautiful Women

Personally I think that's quite debatable!

    Job Dilemma =/

If she has only gone on holiday for a month, my advice would be to just put up with it until she gets back. Be internally strong, lay low and keep working hard and the troubles will be gone soon enough

    Most Beautiful Women

    Coles Myer Employment Process

I received 100% in the test, but I'm probably the worst retail employee in the world :)

    Coles Myer Employment Process

If my memory serves me, they took quite some time in responding to me when I applied I would advise you to wait another week; if you haven't heard anything from them then, give them a call

    8 Year Old Girl Murdered

Because you cannot attribute moral blame unless they could have done otherwise. If there was no way to avoid a particular outcome, a person could not choose between doing it and not doing it. If you cannot choose, it is not your fault for doing one thing or another. Do you understand? And you...
