Transfer into UWS Medicine after First Year.

If you sat UMAT in 08 and did very well, I suggest you keep that score (as they use you most recent test score) and do one year of tertiary study. If you achieve a GPA of 5.5+ in that year, you should be offered an interview late this year.

    UWS Connect Books

Pretty much, their frantically trying to get ready atm. However, they did employ some of co-op staff, however they are running on a skeletal running staff basis atm, unlike co-op which was not-for-profit. You should have heard the staff across UWS when they found out Connect was going to...

    UMAT test 2009

There should be a total of around 20 from all the campuses, it might increase to 30 or so this year because of the interview scheme. Yeah, most of them did want to do med. However, only 6 made the cut for interviews. If you have any more questions that you would like to ask me or the med...

Alot of things: Good communication skills: which is the main quality that seperates the good from the bad in the interviews. In a recent survey by NSWHealth taken by over 80,000 respondants, over 75% of people said that this is the most important skill a doctor should have. Team leadership: as...

The myth comes from teh 60's, from American tabloids, theres no current evidence of higher dentistry suicide rates than most over stressful professions. Suicide myth bites the dust - Health - www.smh.com.au My Orthadontist says, it's because of the boredom, access to drugs (analgesic...

    UMAT test 2009

Yeah, the top 6 are guarenteed interviews however you only get one shot in first year. So yeah it's a bit of a risk especially if you don't want to do Adv Sci or go to UWS, etc.

    UMAT test 2009

Bottom line is it's possible all undergrad uni's except for u.adel and monash accept non-standards (people who are currently in university). Most uni's will only require that you to have a GPA (grade point average) from one full year of tertiary study. So that you can apply during your first...

    Who's doing pharmacy this year?

Catch any bus that has "Via Parramatta Rd" and press the button once you approach the foot bridge. I'd say alot of students do catch a bus, some still use their t-cards if they can get away with it. Most poeple walk from Redfern, you will see the constant stream of uni people going to and fro.

    UMAT test 2009

68 percentile?. I don't think that's possible, unless he/she is rural or an international student. Yes, most students who miss out first go do exactly what I have said before. As most universities except for Monash and Adelaide accept non-standards (people who have commenced tertiary...

    med at Bond Uni?

^ Short answer: politics As State politicians intially didn't want to see tax payers money being spent on those who could afford to buy their way into a medical education/lower priorty towards international students compared to locals. Many rural hospitals are ill-equiped to train...

    med at Bond Uni?

Without internship you cannot practice/train for a specialisation or even practice as a doctor! An MBBS is almost effectively worthless and useless if you cannot gain internship or training whatsoever. Students will be ranked with with priority in regards to internship. The QLD government...
