Your Picks for MH questions for 09 paper

Thanks! Yeh, I'm hoping for an NEP question too, even if they branched out into the civil war. I think that's most likely, as - 2008 was on leadership conflict and differing visions + stalin's five yr plans - 2007 was on communism in theory and practice + impact of stalinism on society...

    Special Provisions

I know a few people who had juvenile arthritus, and so got extra writing time/rest time because of that. I think that's pretty fair, and a legit reason...however, that wouldn't be a big percentage of people getting provisions for writing...

1933 - Russia: Stalin's 2nd Five Yr Plan. Stalin feared German invasion, thus, made defense a higher priority and moved key industries to Siberia (lol...) and Western Asia. 1923 - Trotsky: On Dec 8th a letter expressing revolutionary ideas was written by Trotsky. The troika later used this...

1917: WW1 - US entry into the war for two main reasons: 1. Germany had suggested an alliance with Mexico, sending the Zimmerman Telegraph on 1st March 1917 which outraged the US. 2. Germany declared to resume unrestricted submarine warfare. US reaction was powerful and immediate. The...

    Special Provisions

I totally get where you are coming from, but not all people who apply for provisions because of "stress" are abusing the system. There's a difference to "OMG I have an exam tomorrow" stress, and Clinical Anxiety, where getting out of bed, and even leaving the house can cause panic attacks.

    Modern game

1948: To boost economic prosperity, the Soviets and the West argued over currency reforms in the Western sectors. In April, Soviet troops enforced a road, river and rail blocks cutting Berlin off from the West. 3.5 mil Berliners were now trapped 110 miles from Western-controlled Germany. 1981

    Modern game

Yep same topics... I like descriptions :) 1946 - Iron Curtain speech - I think we already did this year? Anyway: Churchill believed the Comintern planned to extend communist control throughout the world, stating that Russia was upsetting the balance and possibilty of peace. The wartime...

    Modern game

1979 - Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. 1922 - Lenin has the wholehearted support of the Bolshevik party. What topics do you do? I'm guessing Russian Rev'n, Cold War - is your personality Trotsky by any chance? 1961

    Special Provisions

You don't get given special provisions unless you fit the requirements... and they are strict. I'm sure there are some which aren't necessary, but for genuine people, they aren't trying to beat "top state" kids. They just want an equal chance.
