The markers are more picky, so I guess it's harder in that sense. It is definitely a lot more enjoyable than Advanced English (or General English, if you will) because it allows for so much more creativity in your arguments, and ultimately your writing.

If you think the class is "slowing you down" then I suggest you go private tutoring (or maybe a place like Dr. Du where you're constantly pressured to do well by weekly quizzes, etc).
It's probably not as bad as a lot of people make it out to be, but I do hate that the marks received don't always (kind of never) reflect the amount of effort put into the subject.
