raw band 5 and 6 cut off this year roughly?

    IPT, scaling crappily as usual.

Out of 100, what do you think you'll get?!

IPT's not going to count towards my ATAR, so i'm not overly worried about it, although i hope to do well at it. 70-80 would be good for me :)

    BOS has no idea...

I went to my english tutor the night before begging for help for caesar. She delivered. And she told me to do my caesar essay first, which i did. I'm so glad Thank You For Smoking was a decent ORT that i could draw conflicts from.

    General Thoughts: Mathematics

Question 10 with the paddock was the end of me. Maybe 2/7 marks there.

simpsons rule question - the displacement?

I did something like this: Distance = (5/3)*(173+(4*81)+127) + (5/3)*(127+(4*195)+168) = (5/3)*(1699) I think i may have had an addition error with the second one. =(6895/3) = 2298.33 Yeah, i think i screwed it up. Hopefully separating it int

    Estimate your 2U mark :)!

Well what did you think you got then? I've had a maths tutor since year 9, and i've topped 3 of those 4 years of maths since. Thankfully i topped maths at my school this year so i'm guaranteed the top mark for my cohort, if memory serves me correctly. And if my mark is enough to bring my...

simpsons rule question - the displacement?

Did anyone separate it into 2 separate integrals? I think i got like 1900 or something.
  8. Awkward_Ninja

    General Thoughts: Mathematics

20-25 marks of silly mistakes is a fair bit. 16-20% roughly.

    Estimate your 2U mark :)!

Went through my paper again today, and am realising that i've probably made 20+ marks worth of mistakes. At best (assuming i get some of those marks for working) i'm looking at 100-105/120. At the absolute worst, 85. *Hoping this is enough for band 6, if not a high band 5.

    General Thoughts: Mathematics

I think i may or may not have written the coordinates around the wrong way. I think i did (2,0) instead of (0,2). I'm hating my life.

General Thoughts: English Paper 1 (AOS)

Re: How Great Was That? Finished section 1 in 20 minutes. Was so surprised at this because i didn't even finish it in the trials. Spent almost 50 minutes on creative. Reckon i did well there. 12-13 i think. Essay was on place, which is what i prepared for. Verily did the gods favour me that...

    BOS has no idea...

Blade Runner and Frankenstein question was everything i prepared for that year, so i think i may have a 17+ coming my way. I screwed up my Orwell essay, so that might bring me down. Julius Caesar was better than expected. Lucky i prepared for it the night and morning before. I can smell a 15+...

Easy paper = Higher mark needed for band 6

Do you reckon 93-95 would be enough for a band 6?
  14. Awkward_Ninja

    How did everyone go?

I may or may not have screwed IPT up. Lucky it's not going to count for me. 70 at the very best for me :/
  15. Awkward_Ninja

    What's the cut-off??

Adding my marks up, i think i've got somewhere between 90 and 100. 93 is my estimate. Do you reckon i'd get a band 6 from that, or just miss it?

Need help for Module C - Julius Caesar

Haha, my english teacher says that all the time. He's canadian, and his accent makes it sound awesome.

    Port Macquarie Schoolies 2011

I'm with pony_magician on this. I've lived in port macquarie for the past 10 years, and it's not the kind of place where people have schoolies (unless you want a super low-profile schoolies trip). It has a number of names and taglines with it, one being 'God's waiting room', which is fairly...

Need help for Module C - Julius Caesar

Ok, so i'm doing Julius Caesar for Module C, and my English teacher took it upon himself to make this assessment different from the rest: A speech/oral presentation. But the whole speech part is the least of my worries at the moment. Right now, my greatest concern is pulling together a 5...
