Why do dead celebrities continue to be famous?

Because people want an excuse to say "oh, the poor man was so talented and he was my favourite actor and i loved him so much" when they didn't even know who the hell he was before they heard that he was dead.

Boy hanged himself after his father confiscated his new Wii

Could everyone please take a second to realise that this isn't even funny. A poor child's life is gone. Even worse, he took his own life. And the most respect that society can pay him is that he killed himself over a stupid game. The child obviously had other issues that were so painful...

Future Plans: What ATAR/course/job are you aiming for?

Re: What UAI are you aiming for? I'm aiming to be the best that i can be... *realises how teacher-like that sounds* But i NEED 83 to get into the Bachelor of Arts course at University of Sydney and if i don't get that, i will be dissapointed.

    Study Time

1-2... I just summarise/type up my notes for English, Ext and usually Economics. I'm slack with my other subjects. I really should start studying more though, since prelim exams are creeping closer.

    Mathematics --> General ??

I am in exactly the same position as you. I don't feel that i can achieve very well in Advanced, so i was considering dropping to General in year 12. But my parents would kill me... Also, through dropping Advanced maths when you have enough mathamatic ability to pass isn't a very good...

Has Anyone Finished their HSC and RETURNED back to school to do it again?

I admire anyone that has enough will to live to subject themselves to the firing squad.. again. *applauds* I personally am planning to burn the place down once i leave, therefore going back will be a challenge. note: (don't take me seriously.. i'm crazy, but i'm not an arsonist!)

    music?

Anything acoustic is good for studying. Studying is the only time when i lsten to acoustic music because when i'm on the bus, it makes me fall asleep :P And when i'm at the gym, i tend to listen to loud, screamo stuff.] Look up "punk goes acoustic" on limewire and there are load of great...

    Pathways?

I thought that Pathways was a form of special provisions. If so, you would need pretty substantial evidence for BOS to allow you to have the option.

    Feelings towards year 12

Spelling has nothing (very little) to do with higher-level English ability. I generally manage to achieve decent, above average marks in Advanced and Extension 1 English and i am basically dyslexic and have the spelling ability of a retarded 6 year old.

Can i do Psychology through a Bachelor of Arts?

Not Bachelor of arts (psychology), just a Bachelor of Arts.. Like, if i pick all the psychology subjects.

Anyone having a work overload crisis?

    *is unbelievably jealous!*

Anyone having a work overload crisis?

Sometimes the workload is bearable but at other times i feel as though i am being bombarded all of a sudden with work that the teachers could have just as easily spread out over the previous weeks.
  19. catherinet

What UAI would you be content/happy with?

Between 75 and 83. Anything higher may encourage me to persue a career that i have no interest in, yet feel obliged to study due to the fact that i can. Anything lower will make it impossible to do any course that could lead me into the field that i desire to be in.
