    Renting around UNSW

None come to mind to really avoid (minus the inner-city places like Redfern). You need to becareful everywhere (especially Kingsford) at night of course, but that can apply anywhere really. I'd be more worried about finding decent flatmates/neighbours than the suburbs.

I get wat HECS-help is..but what is with the contrib. of $500+ to get a 20% off

Fairly straight forward. You pay off over $500 of your HECS as a voluntary payment and you'll get a 20% discount on whatever you pay.

    Lost @ 'Enrolment Basket'

Basically that just means you can't count economics credit under a BA if you transfer to comm/arts... the credit will be counted under your commerce degree (so you will need to meet that 108 credit points for arts from just arts/social science subjects). If you do micro/macro under your BA this...

    Post Your Timetable - S1 2009 Edition

Wrong thread. At least post your timetable... but I'll answer anyway: Text list will be here once they update it (usually a couple weeks before session): Textlist Pen/paper. Laptop is too heavy to carry up the stairs at uni and annoying to have out in lectures. Use lecture notes. Only...

I hate the douchebags in the quad comm labs who move the keyboard of a WORKING COMPUTER aside, set up their laptop, and not even touch the main computer. WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY Especially when there are a ton of people camping around waiting to latch on to one as soon as someone gets up.

Some people do. Need to find random places, lots of people just use the library. There's some really comfy spots such as upstairs in CLB.

    Post Your Timetable - S1 2009 Edition

If you have too many breaks you are going to wish your classes were right after one another. It might be a bit outrageous to try and walk from say, Mathews to ASB - but even that is doable. Tutors/lecturers won't mind if you a bit late usually.

http://img158.imageshack.us/img158/3411/picture2rx3.png Two giant breaks but I don't mind since I live near campus/need time to force myself to study. And it's the only way I could fit everything into three days. How to take a screenshot of your timetable: Windows: Hit 'Print Scr' on your...
