If you are first, it is quite simple. The gaps mean nothing. Everyone else means nothing. The quality of the cohort means nothing. If you come first, the top exam mark becomes your assesment mark.

The most important thing is to choose a topic you have a passion for. Personally I think it is the perfect opportunity to look into the areas the syllabus ignores i.e. something that has always interested you, but you have never had the chance in class to learn about.

Yes, that was one of the major changes that came with the swap to the ATAR. The reason the percentiles aren't exact I assume is that lots of people drop out, and some go through school but don't get an ATAR.

I got one too. I'm not 100% sure what it is about though, as UAC isn't available past midnight - will have to wait until tomorrow. Hopefully it is some scholarships.

Just remember that you cannot double-major if you do the finance co-op. Ultimately both are basically guarnteed jobs, which industry would you prefer to be in?
