    The Mist

I think it seems abrupt because the movie fails in giving us an accurate sense of how much time passes by between scenes. We don't how long they had been feeling hopeless, desperate, and what not. But I think it's possible that the same characters that fought hard to stay alive and not fall...

    The Mist

How was the ending "Hollywood"? I haven't seen the original, or read the book, how do these end? Because I thought the ending of this version was great

Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen

I don't know. I had high expectations with the first one, specially because the trailers looked really good, and the first half was good, but then went down hill really fast with cheap jokes (John Torturro and Anthony Anderson) and BAD action (the Bourne-style camera and editing really doesn't...

    Gran Torino

Good movie but far from Eastwood's best films, I'd only give it 7/10, there was a lot of bad acting, the teenage dialogues didn't seem very natural (maybe it was the delivery) and even Eastwood's performance was sometimes too much, almost parodying himself, like his birthday scene.

    The Shittest Movie Ever.

Haha, that's one of my favorite movies ever. The movie has almost infinite interpretations... but the core message stays the same. And it also has one of the best soundtracks. Great remake.

    The Nokia N95

If you like the N85's features then buy a N82, you won't regret it. It's almost half the price, same camera, better flash, it's a stick phone (which lasts longer) and it's lighter. In regards of the iPhone debate. It's great for the apps, but very annoying to sms and a bit too big to be...

    Oscars 2009

Who is "they"??? The Academy Award voters? Why is everyone under the assumption that the Oscar's are chosen by a small group of old scholars that don't even watch movies? Most of the voters are actors, Samuel L. "Motherfucker" Jackson votes at the Oscars. Over 5000 people vote at the Oscars...

    Oscars 2009

I think you are blinded by fanaticism. The Dark Knight was a great film, I loved it. But Eckhart and Oldman were no where near the best performances of the year. The screenplay was well written, but the overall plot was far fetched and the Joker's plan absolutly far-fetched. Other reasons why...

Current movies seem boring....When are good ones coming out?

I've seriously tried to watch The Da Vinci Code twice, and failed. I actually don't remember the score, but I remember hating the cinematography, being annoyed by far fetched plot devices, insulted by everyone behind this movie trying to convince me that a film where every character has only...

    The West Wing

Which other shows are you thinking of, that would be at The West Wings level? I personally really like The Wire though they are totally different styles.

    Best TV series EVER

It was just a sci-fi drama 99% of the time. It's like considering Buffy a flexible series because, among I don't know how many seasons, one episode was a musical. Ally McBeal was a very flexible show. Other TV series I think were very flexible was "Hack", starring David Morse. He was a...

    Best Racing Games???

What would you say are the best racing games, in any console? And add your reasons, is it realism? entertainment? graphics? length of the game? difficulty? etc, what makes it a "must-have"?

Not necessarily what you want, but what you think will win Best Picture

Might give Sean Penn a nomination, maybe even win it. But I don't think it'll get a nomination for Best Picture. It's controversial, in a good way, but also not very appealing. How many people are interested in a movie about a gay politician? "Brokeback Mountain" was different because it...

compressed film threads: jurassic park II

Are we talking about the sequel to Jurassic Park, "The Lost World"? Because a lot of people saw that movie. In fact it's the 40th highest grossing movie of all time, worldwide. Higher than Casino Royale, Men In Black, Iron Man, The Empire Strikes Back, and Wall-E...
